  6. St. Mary's beaten by Defiance 48 - 35. This from the local paper: St. Marys especially struggled with a lack of rebounding and committed a number of turnovers, which hindered any chance at a comeback like the one they made against New Bremen. Evan Angstmann had eight points, and Jace Turner scored seven for St. Marys. Center Austin Parks was held to just one field goal and two free throws on the night.

  18. Trent Markwith -- 2025 F Caleb Wilson recorded a near triple-double in Holy Innocents’ win tonight. Really impressed with his passing ability at 6’8” and how he impacts the game outside of scoring. Although he’s thin, he isn’t soft and protects the basket with aggression. Recent Indiana offer.
  19. Tweets from Assembly Call -- Ah, college sports. Where Kofi Cockburn gets a 3-game suspension for selling some gear a month early. Bruce Pearl gets 2 games for another instance of NCAA rules being broken on his watch, and Mark Few gets 1 game for driving drunk. Makes perfect sense. Oh, and Hanner Perea and Peter Jurkin got NINE games.
  20. PUke lands yet another big man. Purdue has landed a commitment from 7-foot-2 Swedish big man William Berg. Berg recently cut his list to two and after taking visits to Purdue and Utah State he ultimately decided to play for Matt Painter and the Boilermakers. “My relationship with Purdue has been great and they've always shown me that they are a school that produces great big men and know how to develop them both on and off the court,” said Berg. “They develop their players both physically and basketball wise so I can really see myself calling that place home.” “The staff all really invest in their players and are always pushing them to become better. They're always there and encourage them to get better every day. They contribute to the culture really well by putting in the extra work for their players which I love.” Berg’s official visit also played a major role in this decision. “The visit was great,” he said. “I visited both schools and they were both over my expectations but Purdue was better in my opinion. I really liked hanging out with the coaches and players as well. They're a great bunch of guys and you can really see that the culture they're portraying on social media is their real culture. They're all playing for the success of the team rather than the success of themselves which I prioritized really high in my decision.” With Berg committed to the now, No.1 team in the country, he looks to come in and help the team win in any way he can. “I'm a pretty hard worker, versatile player on the court, and I think I'm going to contribute a lot to the culture of the team,'' he said. “I'm always going to give 100% on the court, helping out in any way for whatever the team needs.”
