JM has a couple of true stars, led by 6-foot-2 senior forward Lilly Meister, who will play at Big Ten power Indiana next season. Meister was All-State last year when she averaged 21 points and 11 rebounds. Next to her is another senior standout and future Division I player, 5-11 guard Katie Hurt. Hurt (14 points, 4 assists per game) will play next season at Lehigh. The key for JM will be getting enough out of those not named Meister and Hurt. The Rockets did get some crucial varsity experience a year ago from a host of players. Coach Phil Schroeder says: "We have a great group of kids who work hard every day and are fun to coach. Hopefully, the season won't be interrupted, and we'll be able to get better as the season progresses." Despite Syracuse 3-3 record, gonna be a tough one and we'll see what Woody's game plan is for attacking the Syracuse zone. And Rothstein's walking wounded report for O$U: Ohio State's Justice Sueing (abdominal) is "weeks away" from returning, per Chris Holtmann. Seth Towns (back) is expected to return in mid-to-late December. Eugene Brown (concussion) is day-to-day.

Jonathan Givony: Ten dunks for Indiana's Trayce Jackson-Davis yesterday in a win over Marshall. Finished with 43 points on just 24 shots. No player has ever recorded more dunks in a single game in the NCAA play by play, era dating back to 2010.

Obviously, there's a helluva lot more tenacity on defense. Also, fire in the belly for a lack of better words. Marshall's first half lead and how it kept mounting mini runs after we regained the lead and yet we never folded.

Rabby: In order to make this change, IU football coach Tom Allen took a pay cut. Allen's annual salary will decrease $200,000 each year from 2022-25. Allen’s contract will still run through the 2027 season. He was scheduled to make an average of $4.9 million per year. Osterman: Sheridan's most recent contract runs through June 30, 2022, and pays him monthly installments of $37,500. The total remaining salary contained within comes to $712,500. So that more or less explains Allen's salary reduction.
