(2023) F/C Austin Parks to Ohio State

St. Mary's 56-46 over Parkway. I had Parks with 15 pts. on 6-8 FG; 3-4 FT; 5 reb; 3 asst; 3 stl; 2 blk; 1 TO. Parkway doubleteamed him almost every time he touched the ball and he drew a number of fouls. He also demonstrated he's not afraid to get floor burns on a couple of occasions when the ball was lose on the floor. -

Peoria Notre Dame (7-1) over IVC 48-20. Game was on YouTube if you're interested. Total mismatch from the opening tipoff. I had Koch with 10 pts; 2 reb; 4 asst; 4 stls; 1 blk; 0 TO. -
(2023) - SF Kwame Evans

Bossi on today's Montverde game in the City of Palms Classic specifically on Kwame Evans -- ...Evans is ranked among the top five in 2023 and can be inconsistent. At Montverde he's toughened up, found a balance of playing inside and hunting deep jumpers but what is most impressive is his defensive versatility. It is hard to put into writing the things he's capable of but each time out he makes a few wow plays. He had three steals and two blocks to go with his 10 points and six rebounds in just under 16 minutes. -
Bossi on today's Montverde game in the City of Palms Classic Just a week ago, powerful Montverde (Fla.) Academy lost at the buzzer to Duncanville (Texas) High. If there were any worries about a hangover in their next event, they ended them quick on Saturday. They jumped all over a talented Lilburn (Ga.) Berkmar team early and cruised home to a 76-51 victory. With five players scoring between 10 and 16 points, it is hard to lock in on just one guy but we'll go with Indiana bound guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, Texas bound wing Dillon Mitchell and five-star junior four man Kwame Evans because of how versatile each of them is defensively. Hood-Schifino is going to arrive at Indiana physically ready to compete in the Big Ten. He's a smart player who can play all three perimeter spots and he has a calming influence. His three ball has been dropping the last few times we've seen him play and that's encouraging. The one thing that Hood-Schifino is always going to do, though, is defend. That commitment to locking up will endear him to Mike Woodson and staff quickly. He finished with 16 points, six rebounds and a pair of assists. When it comes to Mitchell, he may have the most potential as a wing defender of any player in the class of 2022. He's freaky athletic finishing at the rim but he's every bit as impressive with his lateral quickness and ability to be in the right place at the right time. He finishes lobs, crashes the glass and is a dangerous straight line driver. If he gets his jump shot ironed out, the sky is the limit for him in college and beyond. Finally, Evans is ranked among the top five in 2023 and can be inconsistent.

UP NEXT Indiana continues its non-conference homestand with Wright State on Tuesday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

(2024) SF - Cooper Koch

Peoria Notre Dame over Normal West 66 - 51. Fortunately I was able to watch a stream of the game because you'd never know what happened from the Peoria Journal Star. But I digress. First time I've seen Koch play and I thought he runs the court very well. He's active on the offensive end and I thought there were times he could have easily made a move to the bucket but opted to pass it out to an open teammate. I had him with 18 pts. on 6-10 FG; 2-4 on 3s; 4-4 FT; 5 reb; 3 asst; 2 stl; 1 blk; 1 TO.
