Four turnovers for Indiana. Looks like October basketball to me. -

Two turnovers to start play for the Hoosiers. Looks like they wanted to go high low with Ballo and Malik. -

Ballo / Malik / Mackenzie / Kanaan / Rice. My guess assuming Trey is not 100%. -

They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread
Trish replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think Woodson is too stubborn to realize he hates the new era of college athletics. But he has a checkbook with Boosters to his luck. Not being able to win this year will be all anyone needs to see that he's not fit to be head coach. But I'll give him the chance, maybe he turns it around coaching wise this year. -
Virginia coach retiring. Interesting timing..

Likely so. If Calapari was the head coach or even Mussleman, this team is ranked in the Top 10. -

Sprinkle had some magic at Utah State last year, I think he's an up and coming coach for sure! Are you going to the homecoming game this weekend? -

He's probably more in the 10-14 range, 16 is a bit of a stretch IMO. -
Oh god, it's not April yet Stuhoo ;) If you catch what I'm suggesting.. :D Congrats to the staff on the commitment. The sky was falling earlier this year, it appears to be sunny in Bloomington.

Trily Donovan That's all folks!

Ah correct, I had misread that. Makes a bit more sense now!

I think it’s a down year in the Big Ten. Overall, I see Indiana winning 15-17 games if healthy and if Woodson does indeed have the most talented team like he says.

https://x.com/insidethehall/status/1836483302485529086?s=46 The Newton news isn’t too surprising. I didn’t have him in my rotation I posted last week. I imagine he will “transfer” this upcoming Spring. Woodson mentioned he wants to play small with Luke or Malik at the 4. I don’t know about Malik at the 4, but Luke could do that. I’d like to go really small and see a line up with Rice / Trey / Tucker / Mack / Luke That’s an interesting line up I’d like to see get some minutes early.

I think Tucker and Cupps are 100% in the main rotation to start the season, we'll see what happens when B1G play comes around of course. This is the way I see it currently. I don't see Woodson playing more than 9. Rice / Cupps Trey / Kannaan Mackenzie / Tucker Malik / Goode Ballo OUT OF ROTATION: LEAL, NEWTON, HATTON, JAMES. Malik will move to 5 when Ballo is out, could see some more small ball action hopefully by going 4 guards / wings and 1 big guy. Malik and Ballo will 100% start together. Trey needs to start IMO.

Interesting season is what I would describe this upcoming season to be as well. Woodson claims he has the most talent he's ever had, the results should follow if true. Looking on paper, this is a NCAA team that should advance pass the first weekend. If this team fails to make the second weekend, I would consider this season to be a failure, assuming health is not an issue. And if so, Woodson should be relived of his duties. If this team can advance to the Elite 8 or higher, Woodson should get a 2 year extension if not more. I'm not too concerned about Big Ten championships or finishing Top 4, the real validation is the dance as we all know. I think Woodson and company have set themselves up in a position to be good if not great this year, but the results have to follow. -

I think the men's basketball program has won the off-season with the portal additions! -

What's been going on here lately? Anyways, the non-conference schedule in November for IUBB is extremely weak. Looks like Woodson wants to get to 20 wins as soon as possible next year to assure he's "doing his job". -

None of us will ever be able to confirm if Woodson said that exactly. But it sounds like a statement from someone who talks in Third Person 70% of the time would make. Frankly he’s hinted at this thought this season before.
