I root for big ten teams to do well in pre conference so we have a chance at good wins but come tournament time I hope they all perform similar to Purdue last year.

I’d limit it to only conference champions. It would be a way to temporarily fight the super conference expansion talk. If only conference champions made it then there would be less incentive for the top teams to group up as it would minimize their playoff access.

ESPN has started their SEC promoting. OSU may not likely make it but they act like they aren’t even in the discussion. What a joke

I don’t see the love for Texas improving their standing so much by beating an OK St team that got destroyed by South Alabama at home. Texas may end up being a top four team but that really isn’t super impressive

Yes the only bulletin board material possibly created would be for Purdue and they spend their whole season chanting IU Sucks so we are already the focus of their whole season

Love the fact that the B1G will suspend him for future games but it’s no big deal for the games he actually cheated to win. If the sign stealing is a big deal (debatable), then there should be no reward for getting away with it earlier in the year.

It’s amazing. It’s hard to adjust for an opponent hiding a heisman candidate on the bench for most of the year.

I agree it is sad but at least a new coach would be a chance for optimism. Losing games we should win to teams that aren’t very good is the team mantra and it’s time for a new voice.

I think Camper, Cooper, and McCaulley along with the Clemson and Fordham transfer have lots of potential. For RBs Henderson was improving toward the end of the year, Lucas, and the transfer from Wake Forest should be a solid combo of power and speed. To me it all comes down to the Oline which will be improved by getting Bedford back along with a better coach.

My optimism is rooted in having a good Oline coach. We should have a good set of receivers and rbs. If we can get the blocking down we are in business. Allen is usually able to develop a defense.

To be fair Trevell redshirted last year. You can say he has potential but the staff didn’t feel like he was talented enough to beat out our other corners yet.

Agree completely on bashing the players. Most of the issue isn’t with the guys but the expectations set for them (fair or unfair). I remember all the reports about Bates being the best guard in practice and a multi level scorer before his freshman year. By all accounts he and JG have been good teammates and represented IU well off the court. If they end up in the portal and don’t burn bridges on the way out I hope they both excel at their new schools.
