If they lose, just keep in mind that that is a successful season for them, whereas for us its a disappointment. I know it sounds smug considering we've only been beyond the SW16 once in the last 20 years, but the difference in expectations is what separates the two programs. That and 5 banners.

The unique circumstances under which Crean took the IU job is the only reason why there's any more to this story beyond a coach not meeting the program's expectations. Time to move on.

We did this when Wilson got fired (mostly related to his drinking), but now that Crean is out, let's hear some program stories from his tenure that we dared not mention while he was head coach. I heard he had an absolutely filthy mouth with his favorite word being c***. It got dialed down a bit, but it was the nickname for every player those first few seasons. Anyone have any specific details on his post-Syracuse meltdown?

Even if IU won the NCAAT every year, what kind of an idiot would fork over $100,000/yr for a college athletic program?

How about the Flutie Effect and the IU higher-ups (McRobbie) not pushing for athletics to be an integral part of the student experience. "Winning the national championship results in an average 7%-8% increase in applications. In order to achieve the same results by decreasing tuition or increasing financial aid, the Popes found you'd need anywhere from a 2%-24% adjustment."

No. I was at the Syracuse loss and it sucked. I didn't bother watching tonight's game and it was great.

If there is any silver lining in this, this is exactly how every other name program sounds before the big hire comes. At least we still have our expectations

I'm reserving judgement until the new coach is named. I have a hunch glass is willing to play the heavy until the season is over

I hope people give up the extension gripe. Crean would've been extended after the season for winning the conference and we'd be worse off now than we are.

I think he's like one of three. Not sure Weber played cbb either, but I think he had an actual reason and could have played if he wanted to. Crean on the other hand barely played high school basketball. Yes, you read that correctly. I'm fairly certain he didn't play beyond his freshmen year.

Yea nothing is changing on my end in regards to end result, but how this is playing out in the interim is pathetic

If we win is the second round supposed to be in Bloomington? Would we defer that as well?

So why not cancel/move all of our winter break games?
