  1. The technical is one thing, but the reffing in conference play is just a prime example of why this conference has failed to win a national title since 2000. Hard to adjust in a one and done tournament when you've been allowed to maul each other for 3 straight months in conference play. I just watch the games, but even I don't know what's going to get called during some of these games.
  2. Thompson done for the day? An already thin team getting thinner if Geronimo and Thompson is done
  3. Thompson is a warrior. Tough dude
  4. Come on Al! You can't do that. Leads to a 3 on the other end. Back breaker
  5. I know Hummel isn't in the building, but TJD can't get his shot off in traffic, so why does he insist on him getting the ball down there. Suppose it's the best option, as everyone else is so bad, but it's a bit tiring to listen to
  6. One of these should accidentally go in statistically. IU is not good
  7. IUs defense isn't that great to max out at 50 point in a game. Not many Big10 teams you're going to be able to hold under 60.
  8. I have serious doubts, as I have had all season, about the weight training program at IU. I see all those offseason before and after pictures of body transformations, which is great, but is that continuing into the season? I've never seen so many airballs and attempts to shatter a backboard.
  9. Leal about broke the backboard. What in the world!?!
  10. It was called out last game, but something tells me Archie's already been informed he's not back next season. Hands on hips, arms folded and hands in pockets through the first 15 minutes. Looks like a deadman walking, feel for him
  11. He's nothing special, but when you're 7'4" and IU doesn't even attempt to guard you or make things difficult, you look like Kareem. IU is not good, but at least try
  12. Wrong moderator then. I knew I saw the green bar on the post, but it's a good thing he can only go in short bursts, or else he might go for 30 with the defense we're playing on him. I really hope the players haven't packed it in, would be far more embarrassing end to the season and it's been plenty embarrassing already
  13. I think it was you, if I recall correctly. Entitled to your opinion, but I haven't seen us with an answer for him so far
  14. Didn't this board talk recently how bad Edey was at basketball? He's owning us through 10 minutes of play
  15. IU has got to be the worst shooting team in America. Such awful misses. But I guess if you're going to miss, miss badly. No reason to half @$$ it
  16. Ball extra slimy today? Both teams struggling to simply catch it.
  17. I've said Stevens would be my first call and make him say no, but none of those guys you listed are coming here. And after 5 years of not making the tourney, simply making it to March would be an improvement - and no I don't care about what happened last year, no one made the damn tourney as it didn't happen. I'm not going to watch corny videos of Mussleman, but without seeing them I'd just assume part of that is promoting his program. In that prism - cheesy things are going to happen. I'm not to keen on Mussleman myself, but knowing his past in the NBA and his experience working with transfers at Nevada that could be an enticing option, especially given the circumstances that will be the 2021-22 college basketball landscape. Added note: I'd think with the NBA experience he has some chops in the player development department. That for one would be a welcome change from Archie to me. I'm not sure what's going on down in Bloomington, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of players getting better as the season progresses.
  18. Mussleman and Drew are both CTC 2.0 to you? Would it be easier to list out who's not Tom Crean in your eyes?
  19. I'm not sure either, but that seems odd as I thought nobody loses a year of eligibility this year. If that is accurate that does make some sense. He played in 3 games I know that and not very many minutes in any game. He definitely put in work at his time at IU, his jump shot his second year was quite different than the set shot he had from deep his freshman year. Good kid and put in the work, but IU and the Big10 was probably a bit much for him.
  20. He also played Damezi Anderson a considerable amount. I continue to be amazed that Damezi played more at IU and can't find the floor at Loyola. Just backs up Goodman and Hummel's point that Archie just doesn't have enough talent.
  21. A good basketball team helps all students ; )
  22. I think it was Stuhoo who had said he's a Texas guy and wouldn't leave the state as he and his ex-wife share custody of their kids. Doubtful he'd uproot for Bloomington, IN if the financials are as dire as they are made to be here and we couldn't afford a top flight salary.
  23. News article out of Fort Worth, TX today talking about IU-Texas connections to fix Indiana Bball. https://www.star-telegram.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/mac-engel/article249627248.html
  24. Oh, well thanks for setting me straight. I admittedly had to look up who he was and found his Wiki page - just his 2 year results didn't blow me away, or at least his first season I should say didn't. Feel free to delete my original response as maybe it makes me look foolish.
