  1. The ejection should be reevaluated in my opinion. Targeting was intended to eliminate head hunting from the game which I can’t disagree with but it’s becoming ridiculous
  2. Need to get back to running the ball like they were in the first quarter. I’d expect Cincy to make the adjustment and not flinch on IUs line shifting. They are going to score. IU offense needs to carry their own weight. Winnable game - just need to answer
  3. Momentum is squarely with Cinci. Need to force a FG and come out with a drive to start the second half or there will be some chewed fingernails all second half for us Hoosier fans
  4. Targeting has gotten stupid. Intent should be a consideration.
  5. Can't even believe this is a debate. A high level recruit with NFL aspirations post-college wanting to get a headstart on his football career at our school of choice and there is pushback of growing up too soon so he can enjoy his senior prom and a graduation walk? What alternative reality did I just enter?
  6. Totally agree which is why I questioned the quibbling over the word needs. In basketball we always marvel at the body differences that players have when they get into Clif Marshall's weight program. In a sport that's even more reliant on strength and conditioning, getting players into that system and environment earlier would only be to their advantage even if missing out on some of those end of high school events. Just my $0.02
  7. Amen. He'd benefit greatly from being on campus early, as would most, if not all recruits
  8. Wording is super vague. Does joining the team later this season mean early enrollee after the conclusion of his HS season or actually joining the team and suiting up. My assumption would be the former, but what do I know. Other than the Quinn Ewers, who was a special case due to NIL, how often do football recruits reclassify?
  9. Pardon me for not scrolling through 14 pages worth of posts, but is JHS expected to be a one and done type? Obviously highly ranked, but curious on what's the expectation of how long he'd be in college, regardless of school?
  10. Limiting the non-conference opponents would be counterintuitive to boosting SOS though, no? Until the playoffs are expanded that would seem unwise, at least to me. I've admittedly haven't followed the expansion talks too closely, but playing the Pac-12, outside of a school or two wouldn't exactly shine on the resume. ACC is sort of the same way until Florida St can return to its normal self, Clemson and ND and UNC every so often are the marquee opponents.
  11. Doubt this is what the administration envisioned when they fired Pelini when he was only winning 9 games a season. Hate to see it
  12. I’m a Sox fan so take it for what it’s worth but there was little chance of the Cubs retaining Bryant after this season. He was already making record salary numbers through arbitration due to his incredible start to his career. A team that dumped Darvish due to salary crunch the writing was on the wall that there was going to be roster turnover barring a playoff run. The losing streak prior to the break made this unlikely. The decision for the Cubs on Bryant was if the deadline return would outweigh the return they’d get in next years draft once they offered him a qualifying offer at season’s end. The payroll flexibility they’ve gotten from all these deals I do suspect they will be major players in free agency this offseason. Whether that’s any of these players returning remains to be seen.
  13. His commitment happening today?
  14. Take as many OL that are willing to come in my opinion
  15. Loving this recruiting momentum. Don't stop now
  16. Couldn't agree more. It's not the only thing that would be needed, but in my view having the OL be a strength is one of the most important variables required to ending the drought against OSU.
  17. Baked! Cookies in Bloomington were amazing the one time I had them. Not to sidetrack the conversation from Lander but cookies are as good reason as any to get sidetracked
  18. Am I wrong in thinking this could be one of, if not the best, recruiting class in IU FB history? Really hope they can continue this momentum and land some big fish on the offensive line.
  19. Lots of WVU retweets from him on his Twitter feed. Surprised to see his crystal ball is 100% IU. I'd probably feel confident if I were an WVU fan. With that said, hope we can land him.
  20. My man - we're all watching the game at the same time as you are lol
  21. I'd love some of their guard play that's for sure. Drilling shots all over the place
  22. Baylor and Drew's run the clock out offense is much better than Crean's run the clock out offense ever was. I used to hate when Crean would start that when IU was on the verge of running a team out of the building then let them back in it with stupid turnovers and poor shots. This Baylor team is so well coached
  23. I just did my own - I got Baylor 101 IU 100. I laughed to myself at that one. Would love to inspect the code underneath the hood. I'm a software developer by trade, so the algorithm has peaked my interest
  24. 7/19 from 3pt land is super generous lol. Didn't know this even existed. I could get lost on this
  25. Adam Morrison going full depression mode would be semi-entertaining
