Let's see the alpha dog push back against 4000 of Romeo's closest friends. -

There is literally nothing about that that is not awesome. -
IU at Illinois Game Thread (1/24 - 9pm - BTN)
Demo replied to KB0's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. Putting up 500 shots a day doesn't make a kid a better shooter. Putting up 500 fundamentally sound, repetitive shots a day makes a kid a better shooter. Just go back and look at Johnson, Newkirk or Hartman from past years. Their shots have deteriorated, all of them. That may be because this staff puts more time and emphasis on structural elements than constantly drilling skill pieces. But there's a price for that. -

Yeah, this may not be a talented roster. And it may not be a great fit for Archie's structure. But with the exception of Morgan and McRoberts, I'm gonna guess that every other holdover rotation player is shooting worse from both 2 and 3, and obviously FT's, than last year. That ain't on Crean. That's a skill development issue with this staff. -

Was McSwain looking at the camera before he shot that free throw? -

Get Morgan off of Black before he picks up #2 -
Been looking for a chance to see Tremont Waters. I'd forgotten that LSU has got to have the ugliest court in the country, non-Oregon division.
-
Wisky getting absolutely handled by Iowa. God, every time I watch them I want to throw up over that loss.
-
Disagree completely. He's gotten into the habit of trying to force things. But that team is top 15 because of Young, period. Without him, they're us.
-
Nothing like getting screwed by the refs a couple of times to get a home crowd into a game.
-
Saw him in High School and didn't really like him that much. Bad body language. Effort wasn't great. He was a kid. He's a man now.

Watching the 1st game of the Spalding event. Man, did OSU steal one with Luther Muhammad. Defensively, he is just choaking out Immanuel Quickley. Just super competitive. Plus, he’s making shots. Love him. -

Check out some of his HS videos. Before the knee injury he was a special athlete. -

Romeo hasn't been to a game this year, has he? If not, maybe the last piece of information is getting to see the staff up close managing a game. -

Always assumed Preston would never play due to his insanely sketchy academic history. But, hey, impermissible benefits work just as well. -

I'm with you. That's absolutely what I think happens. I'll be thrilled if he ends up in Bloomington, but every time he talks about his finalists he looks like somebody s**t in his cereal. -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Demo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Nope. I say that U of L throws insane money at whomever the hottest name on the market is after the season. Said name proclaims the dawning of a new era of Louisville basketball that will be absolutely pristine in every imaginable way. He will then sell the Langford's on Romeo being the face of the new era. And the Langford's, who pretty obviously wanted their kid there from the jump, bite on it immediately, use that argument as the rationale for keeping Romeo as close to home as possible, and in a whirlwind courtship, he commits to Louisville. -
C'mon, what's with the $? You've obviously forgotten that Chris Holtmann and the awe-inspiring Butler Way have come to town. Not only are they no longer paying players, the kids are probably paying the Asst Coaches.

Final : Indiana 75 - Minnesota 71 | RoJo Career High
Demo replied to Trish's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Morgan is a physical clone of Jared Dudley, who has played 11 years as a hybrid 3-4. His shooting has to improve, but the shot's not broken. He's tough, smart, good teammate. He can absolutely play in the league. -

They play Webster Groves on 2/3. Carte'are Gordon will be a really good test for Liddell. It's now on my schedule of must see games. -
Harbaugh has compared Brandon Peters favorably to Luck on multiple occasions. Some of the most absurd comments in a career filled with them.
-
Yup. And his shot mechanics are so clean and simple. Perfectly repetitive. Doubt if he ever has a prolonged shooting slump. He's the anti-RoJo. Johnson's shot is so complicated that it's gotta be a constant struggle for him.

(2018) PF Jake Forrester to IU

Fair point and I hope you're right. But, man, right now he looks like a kid who's taken a couple of years of HS Spanish who just got dropped in the middle of Madrid. I'm sure the staff will be patient with him. Hopefully he's patient enough to stay. -

I think Forrester's rebounding and rim protection give him a chance for a few minutes. Will be surprised if Race doesn't get most of what Freddie is getting now. I'll believe Moore contributes when I see it. Yeah, he's got tools. But, my Lord, he is so far behind the pace of play. I'm not sure he ever catches up. Looks like a transfer candidate to me. -
Trae Young with 25pts and 10 assists. NW has nothing for him. Incredible player. The Steph Curry comps are completely legit.
