2 things: 1) There is no possible way, none, that there are 35 better players in ‘22 than Bruce Thornton. 2) At his current trajectory, Jalen Washington could lose this year to, maybe, an Achilles tear and then lose his senior year to, ohhh, let’s go with a shark attack, and he should then be a top 5 kid by the time he graduates. Can’t think of a kid this highly regarded who’s played so little.

Interesting that he didn’t have a relationship with Coach Hunter. Just assumed that’s where that came from.

Actually, I think MaxPreps is being a hair generous. I took a quick look at the box scores and they had him at 26-88 for 29.5% in 29 games. He was 3-5 in 2 different games. You back out those and he’s at 25.6% in 27 games. Had a 6 game stretch mid year where he was 0-9. But he only took 9 in 6 games. He wasn’t forcing. The stroke’s not repetitive at this point, but he’s so explosive he’ll be able to get in the lane at will. You surround him with guys defenders can’t leave and he’s gonna kill people.

Would describe that less as a senior moment and more as an I didn’t re-read what I wrote and just sent it. ‘Cause, wow, that’s really not very clearly written.

Found 1 game of his. Shot from a terrible angle and half the time wasn’t even pointed at the game. But, man, what a great looking athlete. Physically and athletically looks a lot like Hamidou Diallo. Definitely gotta find more.

Marcus Morris has been cheap as hell his entire career. You’d think by now he’d be better at it.

Pretty good extended highlight reel of a game Sallis played against Lincoln North Star, which has Donovan Williams, a 6’5” ‘20 kid going to Oklahoma St(and who looks every bit of 25). Looks to have a lot of Ayo Dosunmu to his game, except he’s a much more dynamic athlete. Uses a lot of change of pace to create space for himself, and once he has an advantage the defender is basically helpless. Also looks like he competes pretty hard on both ends. I want to see some full games because, though he makes 3 or 4 perimeter shots in this one, and I know nothing about his shooting stats, he has an inconsistent release point on his shot and sometimes his elbow flys. So I’m comfortable guessing streaky shooter. But he’s so explosive downhill that a bad shooting game wouldn’t negate his effectiveness. Would be a killer in any system.

Strikes me as a pretty accurate list. Would probably have Maryland above the 2 Michigan schools based on their insanely good recruiting base. But otherwise, 2 things; 1) Yet more validation of the extraordinary job Steve Pikiell is doing. I am such a fan of that guy. 2) Didn’t know Iowa’s standards for admission were softer than other schools. Interesting.

Here it comes. Wade might be the guy brazen enough to defend himself with something like, “We’ve been taking advantage of these kids forever. I won’t apologize for being an agent for justice.” See, Will Wade is actually the Robin Hood of college sports. God, I loathe that guy.

Agree. A Miller signing would in no way lessen the need for Kaufman. Kaufman is physically ready to come in and play 25 mins. With Miller, that body’s just not. The kid still looks like a calf on ice. He looks more like a 15 min guy to me as a Fr. But, man, when that kid grows into his frame he’s gonna absolutely kill people.

Since I’m just not a fan of this kid’s game at all I can say with complete confidence that he’s going to roll into AH in probably ‘23 and drop 8 3’s on CAM’s top 5 ranked Hoosiers and lead sub.500 Maryland to the shocking road upset.

I freely admit to being fashion challenged. But that combo of pants and shoes is.....troubling.
