  1. A longer highlight package from Mike. Obviously a long term play, but the 1st 3 things I look at with young project bigs are can he move his feet, can he fluidly change direction and does he fight the ball. In this kid’s case the answers look to be yes, yes and no. That’s a good jumping off point.
  2. Given that he can play on or off ball and is one of the best hand full of shooters in high school regardless of class would there is a better than decent chance that he makes that team.
  3. https://www.on3.com/teams/indiana-hoosiers/news/his-numbers-almost-speak-for-themselves-darian-devries-believes-markus-burton-set-up-to-have-a-great-year-at-indiana/ Nice Lasley article.
  4. Alrighty, there’s the 4th big. The 3rd big is now on the clock.
  5. Interesting little composite. Still can’t get over what happened to Harris-Smith. Liked that kid a lot in HS and then he got to college and lost all confidence in his shot almost immediately and now he’s to the point that he straight turns down open looks.
  6. It will never not be funny that this is considered in any way arguable.
  7. Yeah, there is no way that kid is coming back to Bloomington. No. He played here during 1 of the hardest years to be an IU player, ever. No way he has fond memories. And just can’t see a result where a kid playing his last year of college is looking for 12-15 mins a night as a mostly back up PG. But, in the 1 in a million shot that that is the case what a ridiculously good add it would be.
  8. I get the move because LSU has the combination of ridiculous resources, membership in a top 2 conference and no moral or ethical hesitancy of any kind that’s right up Wade’s alley. Dude couldn’t say no. But this year’s gonna be a little rough.
  9. Love that. Old dudes with zero F’s left to give going off are the most entertaining thing in the current environment. Take no prisoners.
  10. So far. Wade said something about wanting to go hard internationally, but he’s so late that it’s gonna be tough this year. My heart is bleeding for him.
  11. This will be a really interesting follow for me. Seen him play lots of times. He’s a terrific athlete who can’t shoot a lick. His whole game is either posting up and overpowering smaller guards or coming off screens or taking DHO’s and straight line driving. No 3pt game. No midrange game. Hard to see that working for him in the B1G. But the kid plays hard so we’ll see.
  12. UK missed again. Santos going to LSU. In fairness, Wade being able to promise him 80 mins a night and literally every single shot is pretty tough to say no to.
  13. The kid posting this seems…..pretty good.
  14. Did he say from whom?
  15. A lot of Michai White mentions in there. That kid’s awesome. Just this tiny physically under-developed kid who you wouldn’t notice in the layup line ever and then in games he’s the most competitive bada$$ on the floor making play after play. Impossible not to love him.
  16. https://stockrisers.com/s/596/top-50-junior-jlon-lyons-discusses-his-recruitment-development IU one of the schools he talks about.
  17. Went to HS about 10 mins from me and saw them a couple of times over a couple of years. That kid is not even a break the glass big. He is a “Oh God, everyone to the bomb shelter now” big. Strictly cannon fodder for the white jerseys. But he’s not unathletic. If he’s scholly #13 and you want to see what you’ve got after a year of getting his a$$ whooped by Sherrell that’s ok with me. He’s probably got a better chance than Acimovic because he moves better. And the stroke’s alright.
  18. Yeah, athletically Osaruyi is an absolute freak show. He’s about as prototypical as NBA 4’s get. And the present skill is surprisingly good for a kid that young.
  19. An event like that is surely streamed somewhere.
  20. Can’t lie, if I’d realized he hadn’t signed yet I might have been a touch nervous.
  21. Have had my eye on Miller for a while. Strictly a PnR finisher and rim protector and a fouling machine, but given what they’d be looking for here that’s fine with me. And another guy with multiple years.
  22. Wow, when you put it in summary form that really is pretty hideous. And yet, inexplicably, I feel in no way bad for them. Weird.
  23. RIP to the Great Alex Zanardi. Maybe the most exciting dude who’s ever sat in an Indy car. And, man, the life he lived after the accident. What a bada$$.
  24. Bravo, Josh. This is a strong little speech right here.
