So weird that at least the 1st round schedule isn’t out yet.

Yeah, 6’9” looks about right but, man, that kid is a straight up stick figure. Will be interesting to see if he ever adds weight or is he destined for the Brandon Ingram frame. I’m betting it’s the latter. Side note: isn’t it a little odd that they took a team picture without everyone in it?

Well, 30 mins in and the biggest sporting event in the world couldn’t be a whole lot less interesting.

I’ll go to my grave asking this question: if you’re playing an event where you can drop a hundo, why the hell are you playing there? Just go play with the kids in the driveway across the street. Same freakin’ thing.

Nur’s already scheduled 3 visits plus the PU visit he already took. That doesn’t sound super promising but I guess we’ll see.

When I get done with FIBA gonna hit the Croatian coast for a couple of days and do a whole wine/cheese/seafood thing. I’ll be busy but I hear it’s nice. Kenny: I hope you die, Man.

Since we couldn’t watch the game tonight I watched this thing, and it’s hands down 1 of the most curiously interesting music docs I’ve ever seen. Absolutely fascinating. About a guy named Rodriguez who put out a couple of albums around 1970 that did literally nothing. He then disappeared into obscurity while through shear organics, and completely unbeknownst to him, his music became a giant deal in of all places apartheid South Africa. It’s then about a couple of South African dudes who just wanted to figure out what happened to him. And it’s great. There’s a scene of him probably pushing 70 and playing a sold out show in Cape Town 40 years after his albums came out and there are 20something South African kids knowing all the words and singing along. It’s beyond, surreal. I listened to his 1st album, Cold Fact, today and it’s quite good. Dude could turn a phrase and has an interesting voice. A little bit of its time, but really enjoyed it. Seriously, if you have 90 minutes this is completely worth filling it with. Big, big thumbs up.

I’m counting on some solid citizen doing the Canada trip thing from a few years back when some dude uploaded the game in like 10 minute increments to YouTube. That would be plenty good enough.

Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t love this one at all but the staff has earned the all-time benefit of the doubt. If they want him, no problem. Go get him.

Gonna guess he started doing a little math and figured out that running camps in Albuquerque is just slightly less lucrative than playing PG in a power conference.

Disappointing. He was supposed to play against Navarro Bowman on Saturday morning, my #1 game of the weekend, flipped it on and, yeah, no.

That one has never felt like a thing for a single second.

Amazing that in 2 years IUFB has gone from fighting with Florida Atlantic for recruits to when attached to a kid he reflexively gets a bump from the ratings services.

Florida kid, so probably as logical as anything. Ant Wright mentioned that because of the knee he might have been viewed as a redshirt candidate at UM. Miami would be interesting given all the talk during games last year that he wanted to be a full time PG and with Acaden Lewis he will definitely not be a full time PG there.

Will be a strong late get for somebody. Given that Gonzaga lost 2 international PG’s in 2 months that feels like kind of a fit, doesn’t it?
