  1. As backup 5 options go that would be a fairly stunning get.
  2. Today’s Mullins’ 20th birthday. I’m sure this came up around here during his recruitment but I’d forgotten that he’s notably old for his class. Imagine it’s a good decision both developmentally and from a depth of talent pool perspective to stay another year but there’s also some risk given how the League looks at prospects once they turn 21.
  3. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/48524021/alberto-mendoza-establishes-qb1-georgia-tech Took Alberto about 5 mins to win a starting QB job in the ACC.
  4. He played 3 years for Izzo, right? How could he possibly have eligibility?
  5. As a break the glass extra PG candidate would go this feels about right.
  6. And Providence just keeps rollin’.
  7. Keita would be the absolute dream scenario. That’s it right there. Absurdly talented but really young, he may have just turned 18. and not ready to really help much. But a 10 min type of niche role would make a ton of sense for everyone concerned. 18 months of physical/skill development and he could be pretty blinding as a sophomore.
  8. RIP to the great Oscar Schmidt. If you’re too young to know who he was you need to dig in. Without any question at all the greatest player to never play in the NBA. Saw him drop a million or so on a David Robinson-led American college team at the ‘87 Pan American games in Indy that started the outcry that ultimately lead to the Dream Team. 1 of the greatest scorers ever and, side note, Kobe Bryant’s hero.
  9. Would imagine it’s equally mind boggling to Cooley.
  10. Providence is writing some pretty impressive checks. Outbidding UK for Dink Pate was eye opening.
  11. Ok, then. We’ll see how it goes the 1st time McCasland benches the kid and then sees his Mom’s tweet that she hopes the coach dies.
  12. IU with a mention toward the end of the list of schools he mentioned.
  13. I believe the previous staff kicked the tires on Foumena. Canadian kid, I think, though the memory isn’t what it used to be.
  14. I like Fielder as well. Stretch big who can fit next to pretty much anyone.
  15. If that should somehow be the case, given what that kid would cost, Trilly’s “IU is rich as $hit” line would be a fairly massive understatement.
  16. Interesting move. Mizzou/KU isn’t IU/PU, but it’s not that far from it. Fair bit of hatred there. Imagine when they play next year it’ll get a little ugly for Tiller.
  17. Easy to see Hines following a Tarris Reed trajectory.
  18. Would guess it’s 2 bigs, a rotation-quality 4/5, and I’d bet that kid will be a 1 year physically mature guy who understands his role, maybe what Alexis should have been, and a longer term break the glass kid but better than Acimovic. The 3rd scholly for some gift from heaven but otherwise unused.
  19. Thought I remembered hearing that proposed a while back.
  20. Carr: Scott, found a 3rd big I really like, but he’s gonna be a little pricey. Thoughts? Dolson:
  21. Just changed, I believe. Teams can schedule something every year if they want to. I need it to happen, I need it within traveling distance and I need it now.
  22. Man, what I wouldn’t give for the Puerto Rico trip THIS season.
  23. Yeah, Pope’s going through it a bit, though I like Diallo ok.
