My all-time rock and roll crush. Ridiculous talent and just about the cutest thing ever. Saw a Lone Justice show and was mesmerized by her stage presence. Electric at 20 years old. Told anyone who would listen that they were gonna be huge.

He may be the all time example of an early maturer. Kid’s built like a 28yo man and has an incredibly refined game. But he is as good relative to his peer group as he’s ever gonna be. He’ll do nothing but lose ground to them over the next 7 or 8 years. He’ll play for a million years and be an all star caliber player but he’ll never be option 1 on a team that wins anything and Dybantsa and Peterson I believe can be. I said he had a fair chance to be Kevin Love, which I think’s a compliment and a high end outcome for him, and these online draft dudes come unglued like I’m calling him TJ Leaf.

Personally, I need the draft to get here in the worst way because I can’t help taking the Twitter bait on Cam Boozer. If I see 1 more post contending he’s gonna be Jokic I will lose my mind. I need to let it go and I just can’t.

I think you’re safe to continue to proudly wear the savant title. Traditional PG’s like Hali are so rare now. Ant and Donovan Mitchell play with the ball more than anyone on their teams and no one calls them PG’s while Brunson is about as ball dominant as it gets hunting his own and is considered one. Whoever drafts him can just call him whatever they want.

The NBA lottery is the 1 thing in sports I’m completely confident is rigged. Not every year, but whenever the League office sees value in a specific outcome. I’m been telling people for months that since the Zubac trade made it top 4 protected the Pacers’ pick would land 5th, if it was top 3 they would have landed 4th, because Silver wanted to make it as publicly clear as he could while maintaining deniability that if he considered what you were doing tanking you weren’t gonna get paid off. Whenever he’s asked about it, and he’s too smart to do it though I’d give anything if he did, I’d love to hear Pritchard reply, “Yeah, 5th. That’s as subtle as a kick in the teeth, huh.”

Yeah, not so much, but 2 things, and this is spinning as positively as I can manage: 1) It was a physical game and though he was pretty clearly the youngest kid on the floor he held up ok. 2) He was 0-3 from the floor but 2 of the misses were jump hooks over each shoulder that looked really good and just didn’t go in. So he has at least some present post game.

There are several Sokolov games on sporteurope.tv. Watched 1 this morning. Probably a poor choice of games. Didn’t play a lot and his team got boat raced pretty good. Don’t think I’d like playing in that gym much. There was a probably 10’ LED video screen under 1 basket that kept running commercials nonstop even while the ball was in play. Literally in the eyeline of guys shooting free throws. And the scorer’s tables had the exact same thing scrolling across the front. Would not love that.

A longer highlight package from Mike. Obviously a long term play, but the 1st 3 things I look at with young project bigs are can he move his feet, can he fluidly change direction and does he fight the ball. In this kid’s case the answers look to be yes, yes and no. That’s a good jumping off point.

Given that he can play on or off ball and is one of the best hand full of shooters in high school regardless of class would there is a better than decent chance that he makes that team.

Interesting little composite. Still can’t get over what happened to Harris-Smith. Liked that kid a lot in HS and then he got to college and lost all confidence in his shot almost immediately and now he’s to the point that he straight turns down open looks.

It will never not be funny that this is considered in any way arguable.

Yeah, there is no way that kid is coming back to Bloomington. No. He played here during 1 of the hardest years to be an IU player, ever. No way he has fond memories. And just can’t see a result where a kid playing his last year of college is looking for 12-15 mins a night as a mostly back up PG. But, in the 1 in a million shot that that is the case what a ridiculously good add it would be.
