Ok, no one is gonna care about this one but me. Pearson went to HS about 10 mins from me. Pulled the Race Thompson and classed up to redshirt. Fully 6’11” and can really run and change directions. Springy and quick off the floor. Flashes everything you want. The question there was whether he’d ever get strong enough and I’d be curious to assess where he is physically because he could be a serious long term buy low steal for someone.

Somebody is gonna write a big check and whoever does it better have a really good, really assertive PG who understands where not to give the kid the ball.

Will be interested to follow what happens next with him. His original recruitment was pretty curious. He had all these great offers but then he’d visit and they’d bail out. Heard a couple times that dad’s a hand-full. Beard seemed like a really curious choice for him along the lines of RMK/Funderburke. But really talented stretch 4’s aren’t the most common animals and someone’s probably going to talk themselves into him as buy low option. And, hey, if the kid has learned a little something in the last year it’s probably defensible as long as everyone’s expectations are aligned.

Could be an interesting 3rd big if he can get a waiver. Played 1 year at a JC. Didn’t start last year at Arkansas but played a lot.

Ok, so this revenue would at least theoretically be closely held by the schools/Leagues and not factored into the athletes’ pool, correct? So, and like it’s not almost comically the case already, P4 schools, and particularly the top of the food chain P4 schools, are just gonna swamp everyone else in resources and facilities and every other damned thing, that about it? Basically another step towards a P2 conference structure with about 30 Taj Mahal programs and everyone else is just along for the ride. Great

Imagine he’ll get it given the emotional element that he almost died combined with the precedent that was set with Tyron Grant-Foster. But the thing is that despite looking like a computer designed 5 he’s just not a very good player. Read somewhere that his sister was in the portal and is going to Mich St. Frankly, if he ends up there that would be fine with me. He’s not gonna improve them.

Will be a nice get for someone. Big, strong kid with some present skill and 3 years of eligibility.
