    Isn't this fun. It's like getting married and then, after a while when things aren't quite what you thought they'd be, wondering did I make a mistake?

    I would expect that a deeper bench as the team gets healthy will mean a shorter leash for unproductive play. We have yet to see a fully healthy Thompson and Hunter figured to be a rotation player as well. You play with who you have, but it is unreasonable in my opinion to completely discount the toll the injuries have taken on this team. All that said, I'm still pissed with last night's outcome.

    Scathing rebuke for Smith, but at this point it's hard to disagree. I guess nothing coming out of summer workouts can be believed.

    We should probably get an extra ten points for playing at Duke.

    I'm going to wait to fully evaluate this team until I see the team we thought we would have. We've been missing four either starting or rotational players for most of the season. Effort and ball security issues are concerning but can be fixed once we get some continuity with our lineups.

    Maybe something like an alter ego that only exists in the dark and insecure corners of our minds?

    It's sad that the past twenty years have reduced us to speculating about how many points we will lose by. Even more disturbing is trying to decide how big of a loss is acceptable. If we lose, I'm going to be pissed and I believe CAM will be too.

    And that's before we even start talking about the product on the field!

    I get the frustration. I've been following IU football since the late fifties, and outside of a handful of years, it's been forgettable. But we are who we are and I see no sign of that changing. If we were in the B1G West, then maybe we could talk about an occasional seven or eight win season. But as it stands now, what we've had is what we will get for the foreseeable future.

    Unless something changes in a big way, we aren't winning at Purdue. That seems to be the swing game most years. Given our division, it's hard to see six wins next year.

    Need to find more ways to get Langford involved. He is too good to be just another guy on the floor. Rob does a nice job finding him but I'm not sure about the team as a whole. It just seems that we have yet to define roles.

    I don't know if that was a sign of an issue or not, but the chemistry is not there yet. Of course, as many injuries as we have will do that.

    If we can't get past these injuries, this might be a longer season than anyone thought.

    I'm not seeing much improvement from Smith so far. Maybe he'll get it together soon.

    I have in-laws in Arkansas so wanted to win this one bad. You have a tough, hard nosed team that should get better as the season goes on. And, Gafford, my goodness, he just killed us. Hopefully, we will grow and learn from this one and be better for it down the road. Good luck the rest of the season, especially against Kentucky, and we'll see you again next year.

    I don't see how we can play any worse than we did today.

    We have a serious problem with interior defense. If I were Arkansas, I'd throw to Gafford every trip down the floor.

    We need to remember this is not the team we thought we would have. Missing four rotational guys will result in what we are seeing now.

    I want to beat these arrogant f***s as much as anyone, but cheap shots and unsportsmanlike play is not the way.

    The leadership of our program has to be better than what we are seeing today.

    It was all just a set up for the fourth quarter.

    That never had a chance, and why would you do it at this point in the game.

    I think the question is becoming, will they cover the spread or just be content with the win.
