The coaches don’t know yet supposedly and the family is denying this happened or that it is real so what would they be basing their changed pick on? -

What happened to the Btown banners iPhone app? It stopped working so I deleted thinking I would be able to re-download it and it’s no longer in the app store

Did you notice at the end of the year when Brunks minutes were down and Smiths were up we had a winning record in conference? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

You are spot on in much of this, those 3 should never have been out on the floor together but I hate to say I agree with the sandwich but Archie was the one that put that team and lineup out there. That’s not on Justin. He can be a good 3 for a team, that team just needs balance, the same way IU needed it and didn’t have it. I just struggle to understand why many blame Smith for not being able to shoot but don’t blame TJD and Brunk for not being able to shoot and Archie for putting those guys on the floor together Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

People have asked how to use him: He needs to play with a 4 or 5 or both that can step out and hit 3s or long jumpers that open the lane for him to take his man/slash, pick and role and for guards to be able to have a driving lane to throw lobs. Our stagnant, clogged offense was THE worst scenario for him. I’m not sure if he will find a system last minute that fits but IU was not it. I love IU and that we are trending up but I am also honest in that all of Justin Smiths troubles were not all his fault, the system or lack there of was not a fit. I say say lack there of as we are 3 years into this offense and I don’t know what we are doing or what in a perfect world it should look like. That’s also a big problem Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I think a lot of the scrutiny he has received is that he is genetically gifted and a smart kid so the fact that he is an average BigTen talent is hard to understand. Why isn’t he one of the best? But to hear some downplay his importance or contributions I think is sour grapes. He isn’t a world beater and currently not NBA material but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t one of our better players and that we will miss him at times next year. 10, 5 and D is exactly what it is. His inability to shoot was only an issue for IU because we trotted out an entire lineup of players that can’t shoot. If he were to join a team with 3 really good shooters that can space the floor and give him room to operate he could be a lot more effective. We had a really poorly constructed lineup, maybe he can find one where his lack of shooting isn’t so big of an issue Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Yep, leaving 3 shooters on the floor at all times. Hopefully we can find ways to get 4 on the floor at times too, moving Hunter to the 4 a bit. I have to wonder if Archie promised TJD he wouldn’t have to play the 5? I think that hurts us because he is a college 5. I just like him better at the 5, it opens up so many more intriguing lineups Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
(2021) SF Trey Patterson

It’s hard to imagine that all 10 schools have a legit shot to land him. I’m not sure why kids do these things other than to have some press coverage. If that’s why, that’s cool but “10” is not much of a change/update Tell me IU is in his top 3 and I get a lot more interested Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Justin smith and Hanner Perea both have crazy hops, they would showcase that in games every now and again but it was possible to watch a handful of games and never see any flash or sign it exists. Hopefully for Kaufman he uses it every game Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Hmm, I don’t know what else to do but to share his quotes... Anderson - “I was always able to play through mistakes, no matter what. Now, every time you make a mistake you go to the bench. You can’t catch a rhythm.” Anderson - “I felt like the opportunity never was really there for me” I’m not sure there is any other way to interprets his quotes... he feels like he was not given the proper chance to perform. This isn’t about reality, it’s about his perception and he shares his perception pretty bluntly here in this interview Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
The problem the NCAA now faces is that they have turned their head for so long and let some of these schools become so corrupt that others jumped on board and now there aren’t just a few, there are a bunch and proof of this cheating on many of them is coming out all at once. If they had to reprimand one or two, no big deal, but now there are at least 8 that I can think of that there is solid proof of cheating and it will be hard to slap them all with punishment Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
