Every player will find himself wide open from time to time. Players that shoot or create when they are not wide open and make them at a high volume are more valuable. It’s about ability, confidence, repetition etc. Someone has to score for a team to win and if you wait for a player to be wide open, you just aren’t going to put up points. You need players to create their own shot and be able to knock down shots with a hand in their face. it’s like arguing Craig Hodges was every bit as valuable as Steph Curry

We have a solid core still technically on the team and we should do everything possible to keep that core. We should also be looking at what that core is missing and filling those voids. Dennis seems like a good player and person but doesn’t fill any major void. That void being a multi-dimensional offensive player, able to create his own shot from 3, mid-range and driving to the hoop

Right, for me it comes down to intent. Seems like he had no intent to hurt others so I think the school/team/staff/fans should be forgiving. It doesn’t change my opinion that I think he needs to grow up quickly and needs an adult in his life to help him, maybe one of the staff perhaps.
