It should change things but I am not so certain. We had the pick and roll working amazing for a 5 game period at the end of the year and then… nothing it got TJD out of the lane, setting screens outside the free throw lane and it was working. We then abandoned it and went back to the clogged, stagnant game we see now. we have a very capable point that can get to the rim, pull up from mid range and hit the 3. That coupled with a mobile big is perfect for that yet we don’t see it. there are obvious things that we could, should do and we don’t so I don’t feel good about this staff doing anything better/different

This season and beyond is in trouble. This season was supposed to be the one that we made a play for a bigten championship, a deep run in the tourney, showed that veterans like TJD could be taught new skills and that we could help out a young talent like JHS in the draft. if we accomplished the above, recruits would take notice and want to backfill those guys. I don’t think we are accomplishing any of those this year which makes this season a dud and kills future momentum

IU wasn’t screened by the refs, they screwed themselves, Same as they did against Wisconsin last year and countless other games. You can almost count on it when IU gets up big on the road they will blow it

Tough watching Purdue roll out Kaufman, Furst, Smith, Loyer and be #1 in the country. they beat us out for Furst and Kaufman and we didn’t even know that Loyer and Smith could play and they grew up in our backyard

Eh, there is an edge and there is X. X has his moments where he is dialed in and on a mission and that translates. He also has his moments where he is a sideshow, trying to trip players and get tied up with them, flailing around/flipping - that’s not an edge

I thought about this during the Archie era. We always seemed to have 4+ players injured at all times and we always faded down the stretch so in my opinion it wasn’t crazy to think there was some reason to investigate whether these trends were tied to strength and conditioning - not sure if there is enough to make the same correlation here

Nice to see we can win without the 3 ball. Also not thrilled we can’t hit the 3 ball finally an IU team that can go on the road and eek out a tough one. Games like this have been Ls more often than not
