  1. What’s the difference between sitting in the players living room with their family and sitting in your office on campus with their family. If it makes sense to offer you offer
  2. I will say this. Dumb rule to implement but it’s his staffs responsibility to uphold it. However, as a recruiter, I would never want my boss tying one arm behind my back, then later having people say I didn’t produce
  3. Is ”inside the program” a knock off of “inside the hall?”
  4. That’s a very specific and weird rule to make. So if a player was a sophomore or lived a mile over the boarder into Illinois all would be good!
  5. I agree. If I’m Fife and I’ve been recruiting 4 and 5 star college talent and being successful at it for over a decade and then someone comes in having never recruited a minute in college tells my I cannot do it the way I’ve learned to be successful, I’m pissed
  6. That’s my take as well. Easy to acknowledge them and chose not to. Doesn’t have to mean anything but I think it is telling
  7. He is already better than the guy that played the 3 for us all season.
  8. Hard to imagine - I hope it means TJD is coming back but to not even kick the tires with a conference player of the year big seems odd
  9. I would say you forgot Geronimo. geronimo, X, Galloway are the only three on the team that I think fit that description
  10. We need to recruit “dogs” and “winners” find those guys that live in the gym and will play their hearts out everytime they step on the court and get those guys from winning programs, players that know how to win and expect to win every time.
  11. Never heard of of him but sounds intriguing
  12. He’s better off staying slim and who he is. Exceptional talent
  13. Absolutely! That’s my team I’m rooting for now that IU is out
  14. This is the essence of what a message board is for, debate/discussion about their team. This reply could be said for just about any thread and topic on this and every forum
  15. Waynefleek kind of said it but I don’t believe the whipping had much to do with physical fatigue. I believe it was more mental, bit the players and the staff. They spend the days and hours leading up to the game chirping about being disrespected vs dialing in on what it was going to take to actually win it was going to take hard work and concentration from both the players and staff and frankly I just think they all weren’t ready to follow through. It’s easy to talk, harder to do and we talked a ton, barstool interviews, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok you name it “we were disrespected” It was a lack of leadership, acrossed the board, players and staff
  16. Kinda, but it really isn’t. The way we got whipped and outplayed was really something special. We were arguable whipped and outplayed worse than any team in the tournament
  17. Doesn’t get much worse than Howard. He was a part of a cheating scandal as a player and then a part of multiple verbal and physical infractions in his short time as a coach. That’s a lot of slime in his few years in college and few years coaching
  18. God Is the name of the booster that paid him
  19. The strategy was right all along though. Having a 6’10 bruiser together with a 6’9” mid-range and 3 point threat is ideal for any team.
  20. Watching UNC, we could really use a Brady Manek stretch 4. That was an amazing pickup next to Bacot
  21. When is Tamar’s girlfriend due? I think becoming a father could be a good thing for him returning or bad, that is an unknown until it happens and sinks in.
  22. We need to get multi dimensional talent. We don’t need a ball handler, or a shooter, or a shot blocker or fill in the blank. We need players that can do a little of everything, Swiss Army knives. a 35% 3 point shooter that can also create their own shot, defend, pass, drive is more valuable that a 40% 3 point shooter that stands in the corner and offers nothing else
  23. I’ve been mostly silent, second post since the loss. there was a lot missing from our play in Thursday’s game. I’m not ignoring the 5 games in 8 days nor the tough travel schedule. That may have had some impact, but it doesn’t explain what happened. I would love to hear from Bgleas and others that also played college sports as I did because I just don’t see it. As a college athlete, I would have played two games a day if I could. To have that much time between games and having the opportunity to fight for each other and prove the doubters wrong and “ make them pay for that” I cannot grasp what happened. It was sadly a once in a lifetime experience and that is going to be their memory and that is unfortunate as for some, that was their last college game. Bad games happen, losses happen but this was odd. Whether we lost by 1 or 30, it still means the end of the season but I didn’t see the fight and passion that leaves me feeling good about things as we head into the off-season. Again, I think fans want to protect the team and university they love and try to rationalize reasons for what unfolded but I just cannot believe that was it.
  24. someone was going to lose the game and we knew that could be us, but did anyone in their wildest dreams think we would play like that? that was shocking to me that on the big stage, there was no effort, no focus, no fire, no leadership. They quit playing after 10 minutes into the game. not shocked we lost, shocked we rolled over and quit and mailed it in before half and never changed that
  25. I would have been thinking that all season if I were them
