Friend of mine coached a lot of High School sports here in Ohio. Big OSU fan...nice guy anyway. Loves baseball, he does. Of course, he knows Kyle Schwarber. Schwarber is like Pete Rose but doesn't bet on baseball and just gets on. He knocks the ball into orbit. All. The. Time. Gets walked a lot too. Designated hitter, now. Lead-off batter a lot. Wiki: Schwarber played college baseball for the Indiana Hoosiers and was a first-round selection in the 2014 MLB draft by the Cubs, making his MLB debut with the Cubs the following year. He was a member of the Cubs’ 2016 championship team and also played with the Phillies in the 2022 World Series. Known for his powerful, hard-hit home runs and high walk rate in contrast to his low batting average, Schwarber led the National League in home runs during his 2022 debut season with the Phillies, earning him his first Silver Slugger Award. He holds the record for most National League Championship Series home runs (11), and has the distinction of being the only player to hit a home run in the Little League World Series, World Series, and World Baseball Classic championship game. Kyle who?

The Most Underrated Winning Players in IUBB History
Dave from Dayton replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
One of my all-time favorite games. The ending was crazy. IU was down and time was running out. And....WOW! The team that refused to lose. My wife of 47 years and I both graduated that year and got married. A bunch of dreams come true. Kent Benson was a force. Another game that was a miracle to win was IU #5 beats Duke #1 in Rupp Arena. AJ Moye stuffs Boozer at the end saving the game. Jeffries was a phenom...but the whole team was in the 2nd half. I knew IU had lost the game at the half...never so happy to be wrong in my life. I was there in the back row. Great seats, I must say! I have to say, when Bob Knight came to campus and his teams played defense first and were methodical on offense...the crowd did not like it at all. He was severely underrated. That was after having George McGinnis and Steve Downing in the front and not hanging a banner....they ran and flew and kicked back...and underachieved for sure. Maybe Larry Bird was underrated at IU. Heh...just maybe. -
I hear that Indiana will beat Washington on Saturday. This is not speculation. I really heard that. However, my source is not within the National Association of Sports Officials. The person I use for inside information did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express within the last few decades. Plus, I know things and hear voices all the time. Spoiler alert: They just located Rourke's thumb.

Prediction League RESULTS Thread
Dave from Dayton replied to Str8Hoosiers's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I continue picking the winner...Indiana, of course. And I continue to underestimate their scoring and winning the loose balls. I continue to overestimate the other team's efficiencies. And I'm exceptionally pleased with Indiana's performances as a team...and the coaches' faith and decision-making. The day I put serious money on any sport is the day I lose my shirt. Thanks for the opportunity for me to reemphasize that I really do not know how to predict scores and performances closely. it is very interesting and fun. I can deal with that. And those top tier of 1 through 28 in this are cheating. The fix is in. It's not fair. -
Watch IU get moved up in the national rankings...maybe to single digits. Certainly, ahead of Alabama and Michigan. Oregon may be the new #1. Just keep winning!
