We do not really know all that went on. If, in fact, what was posted is correct...and a staff member is not doing what the head coach insists to do, and is talking outside of bounds with recruits... That does not seem petty to me. Do fans remember what happened about 6 years ago with locker-room issues? And was Dane Fife really "let go" (/s) for talking out of school to recruits about politics? Just because Coach Woody isn't embracing LEO...and may be more of an autocrat... Thinking Lombardi, RMK, ... Well, I am keeping my powder mostly dry because I haven't really a clue about any of this. I am also not sure if some posters have agendas and just have to let us know they are not happy. And some of them are not really related to Indiana sports.

Justifiably fans can be critical about performance tonight. But I am extremely happy about where we are. These guys are superb...learning...first game. Just beat the tar out of these guys in the 2nd half.

Exactly. What can I say? I have watched almost every single IU football game since the late 60's. Wife and I went to BGSU in NE Ohio a few years back and saw IU lose. Both my daughters graduated from that state school. One still watches and cheers for IU basketball. She got offered a scholarship to IU in graphic design but declined it. Long story. I had Jade Butcher in one of my speech classes at IU. Met others in '69 from the earlier Rose Bowl team. Saw Lee Corso and the IU team at OSU...for the photo op just before the half. I am not happy with this team and the head football coach. What happened to the old Indiana University football traditions? (snark, as if you cant tell) This season is a miracle. They do deserve to be ranked in the single digits. Coach Cig's confidence is contagious. He is incredible to have done what he is doing. And my earlier post was only partially the way I really feel. More questions remain...but they are not going to be negative ones. Because we know the team will be in there fighting and attacking all game long. Well done.

Breaking: I am continually underestimating the excellent play of Indiana Football. Please continue uninterrupted. We are all winners on this board. (Awaiting my participation trophy...)

I was somewhat surprised that Indiana is now rated in the top ten. Usually, a team has to beat a highly ranked team to get up there. Indiana has not. Maybe the best opponent yet is Washington which does have a winning record. Barely. 5 - 4, 3 - 3. And Nebraska also has a winning record but is on life support. 5 - 4, 2 - 4. Wow. Has Michigan fallen off the pace, or what?! No surprise, but ouch. Indiana hosts Michigan, then runs into reality at OSU and then hosts Purdon't. I am very pro Indiana. But please be somewhat conservative in assessing IU's performance against a not really too tough schedule. Cignetti is superb. But the big boys are too. Heady stuff.

I keep forgetting that Ag/Engineering tech school in Lafayette. Do they keep that required subject for freshman: How to set up your computer and bedroom in one's Mom's basement? My brother still uses dial up...and he graduated from that school in Electrical Engineering...I kid you not. To provide a perspective, he does use an off-brand not too smart phone for internet stuff. What can I say? POTFB. My prediction: 1. Indiana 2. Not Indiana 3. Not Indiana 4. Not Indiana 5. ...
