Sure, but he has one player "signed." Who's coming back to play for him? Ware is going NBA from all accounts. After throwing guys like Gallo and Renue under the bus -- if they are really unhappy, they have transfer options. MM has transfer options as well. Is Banks still on the team? Gunn probably moves on to mid-major for playing time. X and KW graduate. So Cupps, Sparks, and Leal (assuming he doesn't want to get serious about RE) are all that is left. Bold strategy Cotton.

I would agree. It seems he's lacking some pride. Insane coaches after a loss would be watching the film, going over every granular detail. I'm not even a professional coach, I would go over the games in my head for hours, especially after a loss -- looking for things we could do differently. I was not fun to be around. So I ended up here instead. :)

From all accounts, that was a Buckner hire after the Stevens deal fell apart. I honestly think he didn't want to, but got Fife and Matta on board because he knew it was trouble. I think Buckner has lost his credibility here, and if Cig is any guide, Dolson should get the next one right.

You have to get enough to put a competitive team on the floor. Things would look a whole lot different if he had 3-4 high school kids ready for next year to build a foundation. One kid isn’t getting it done. It’s not a hard plan — 3-4 good HS recruits each year and then supplement in the portal to fill holes.
