Painter was in attendance tonight for a player he's already signed. If Woodson wasn't on the cusp of retirement, I'd tell him to take note, THAT is what a high energy recruiter looks like.

I think if May came here and wasn't successful, it would say more about our program than it would about May. -
This reaches its apex during March Madness. I swear every time a ball gets knocked out of bounds, some dude is waving his finger above his head and walking back to his team's bench, trying to goad the refs into reviewing an ordinary play so his team can get a free timeout.

(2024) - Mikayla Blakes to Vanderbilt

I guess I'm not surprised we didn't get this one, but more surprised at the general feeling that we had no chance. For all the success we've had the last couple years, we don't seem to be generating much buzz on the recruiting trail lately. -

I'm not making excuses for Woodson, but this is a big reason why we need someone younger. A lot of recruits these days want people to "show them love." You see it on social media constantly, recruits practically begging for coaches to notice them and reach out to them. Perhaps they lack a significant father figure in their lives? Whatever the reason, Woodson doesn't seem like the type of coach who will play that game. Probably why we're not making any kind of inroads at the high school level lately. -

I also found it disturbing when someone posted the other night that none of the staff was out recruiting this weekend. No idea if that's true or not, but coaches and their assistants should never not be recruiting, at least if they have any aspirations of staying in this profession. -
So UNC has climbed all the way up to #3 in the latest polls. Remember when UNC fans wanted a new coach? UK is #6, after their roster was in shambles and their fans were howling last spring. Kansas and Duke are both in the top 15 even though we got Mgbako instead of them. Wouldn't it be nice if we could be like them, and things could quickly get better and work themselves out? Just once?

Glad OSU pulled it out. Clark hit a circus shot near the end of regulation that BTN would probably have on loop all week if Iowa had won. -

Cotie McMahon is doing her best to try and take down Clark, but I'm not sure she'll have enough. Just missed a free throw that would have tied it with a minute left. -

Buckeyes used a 19-6 run to go up 77-76 over Iowa. Had the ball, beautiful feed for a reverse layup that somehow missed, Clark snatched it and went coast to coast to put Iowa back in front. -
Sarcasm, for those not aware. Archie's team down 19 with 7 minutes still left in the first half.

I thought there was a pretty noticeable shift after the Nebraska game. We've just had far too many games where the coaching staff and players don't seem to know what's going on most of the time. The most frustrating thing is, some of our problems ARE fixable, but the people getting paid millions of dollars to coach basketball can't fix them. -
That was almost 2 decades ago. There's very little, if any, reason for a successful power 5 coach to give up that gig and take on this mess.
