  1. How can we be so awful at rebounding? My God.
  2. That was basically a turnover by Banks, even though it goes down as an OSU offensive rebound.
  3. 3 chances to take the lead and we get stuffed 3 times.
  4. This is the worst fast break team I've ever seen.
  5. Anyone see the textbook "Edey is hard to officiate" moment last night? Luke Goode boxes him out, Edey puts his left elbow into Goode's neck and pins him to his side, and reaches over the top of him to get the rebound. Foul on Goode.
  6. Didn't realize Michigan's coach was in the Harry Potter movies (not really, but the resemblance is striking)
  7. Did they seriously just say "14 point game" when the score was 62-38?
  8. What we need is a recruiter. I can't remember the last time we signed a class I legitimately felt excited about. It seems like we're always getting one 5 star and some role players who may or may not be ready as freshmen. I want a class with 4-5 top 100 guys that really feels like we're building something. This staff spends a lot of time on players they don't get.
  9. Really hate to be that guy, but... Following last night's beatdown, we've now lost 14 games by 15 or more points under Woodson. Archie Miller in 4 years lost 17 by that margin or more. Tom Crean lost just 8 over his final three seasons.
  10. Did my absolute best to not go to bed angry last night and was pretty pleased with myself. Woke up this morning to find one of my cats died during the night. I hate it that our basketball program sucks and I hate it even more when life does stuff like this to me.
  11. Our fanbase isn't the reason for our failures, but it certainly hasn't helped. I honestly think some recruits get a bit creeped out by the obsession some of our fans display with the basketball program and how they behave on social media.
  12. Worrying about sending the wrong message to coaches is what causes us to keep failing coaches around for too long. UK fired Gillespie after two years when it was obvious he was a bad fit. Louisville will probably do that with Payne this spring. Archie Miller should have been gone after 2 seasons but we gave him 4. A winning coach isn't going to care about the message potentially being sent because he'll be confident in his own abilities and failure won't be an option for him. We've had nearly two decades of excuse-making, fear-mongering coaches and it shows.
  13. As bad as that stretch was (and it was REALLY bad on this board), I had confidence that team would get back on track. We handled UNC at home and won at Xavier. We knew that team was way better than what they showed in those 3 losses. We're probably better than what we saw tonight, but the ceiling appears to be considerably lower with this group.
  14. I hate that we reside in the same state as Purdue and their fans get to enjoy teams that win a ton of games every year while we get this garbage. Yeah, they've had embarrassing losses in March, but they never have to think about their roster or wonder if they'll be good enough. They actually have a coaching staff that takes care of everything, from player development, to addressing weaknesses, to proper scheduling, everything we complain about. This program sucks and I hate it.
  15. I don't think I'm overreacting when I say this, but if there haven't been talks with Woodson about a succession plan, those might need to start soon. At Woodson's age, he didn't need to knock it out of the park every season, but he needed a steady stream of upward movement. Ever since this season began, there's been little upward movement. Close wins that shouldn't have been close. Ugly losses. We only signed one recruit in the fall. There just isn't much right now to suggest this is going to end well...and we need it to end well.
  16. Probably the funniest thing about this to me is how many of our fans are still bewildered when they see things like Nebraska -6 or acting like how could IU ever lose to a program like that. Back in the spring when Mgbako committed, I saw a post from someone on social media saying he "will lead IU to 18-13 overall and 9-11 in the Big Ten" and wanted to laugh, but then thought to myself, yeah, he's probably right. I hate how much this program sucks.
  17. Going to get some gaming in before bed. This is trash.
  18. I wish our basketball program didn't suck. Not even really angry right now, just wishing it didn't suck.
  19. My biggest issue with this is that I think it creates a lack of trust between the players and coach. Woodson parking a guy on the bench for so long because he gets 2 fouls is basically him saying he doesn't think he can play them without them getting a third. It might make some guys play cautiously due to fear of fouling and having to come out of the game, especially on the road where you can get a foul called on you if the refs hear you breathe.
  20. Every year we have the same conversations about how deep the team is, then every year by January we're lamenting that we just don't have enough bodies. It's crazy.
  21. 6th year senior turning the ball over like it's his job in a Big Ten road game. The staff didn't think we needed more guards because we had him coming back. lol
  22. Boy, we sure missed Xavier Johnson, didn't we?
  23. This is why I don't even bother watching road games anymore. So lame.
  24. This team is always a couple possessions away from giving away any momentum it had.
  25. @Uspshoosier Remember this game? This showed up on my timeline today, 11 years ago. Colorado should have upset unbeaten Arizona. This was the winning shot. It was initially ruled good. As you can see, the ball is out of his hands and the light on the backboard hasn't come on yet. When the replay was shown on the big screen, the Arizona fans started cheering, hoping they could convince the officials it was late. Their efforts were rewarded as the refs waved it off and Arizona went on to win in overtime.
