Nebraska hit 14 threes and Purdue had 14 turnovers. I know our programs are in different places right now, but crazy how similar the score and stats were in both our games with the Huskers.
Sigh...Purdue was supposed to do this NEXT Tuesday...
Oh well. Not every day can be a good day, but there is some good in every day, and the good in this day was Purdue taking a big fat L.
I'm almost embarrassed by how well I know this team and program. This was an easy prediction to make.
I don't think I'm overreacting here, but there HAS to be a coach SOMEWHERE in this world who could come here and coach basketball that's at least somewhat entertaining and inspires just a little bit of confidence. At this point I just have to marvel at how many coaches we've gone through to get the same results year after year. It's incredible.
The whole "getting played" take reminds me of a quote I once read about Twitter: "90% of Twitter is imagining a guy, tricking yourself into believing that guy is real, and then getting mad about it."
Maybe it wouldn't have made a huge difference, but I'm not sure why we only scheduled 10 non-conference games when most other teams had at least 12. Two more wins might have made it harder to keep us ranked where we are.
Hate playing at Rutgers. Can't remember the last time we looked good there. I'm expecting a low-scoring game with a ton of fouls not called and our players looking lost/frustrated most of the night.
How is that a charge? Both of her feet were inside the arc. I like how it was described as a "heads up" play and a "dangerous" play in the same sentence.
One of my biggest pet peeves during games is defenders throwing themselves in front of drivers, falling down and making it look bad enough that the ref feels it has to be an offensive foul.
Would have rather seen the ball in Taylor's hands. Maybe he gets the first, maybe he doesn't, but if he doesn't, I doubt anyone would be saying the Colts should have thrown it instead.
It's just a tough group to watch. I found myself watching tonight even though I kind of didn't really want to. I think they've sort of sucked the life out of us with the blowout losses and close wins, and we're kind of just their prisoners for the time being because it's still a bit too early to throw in the towel.
