I'm not sure why Robbie Hummel thought that was a good timeout at the end. To me it seemed like a textbook case of over-coaching. These are college basketball players; they know not to foul on the next possession.

This would be easier to stomach if Woodson was already gone. I mean it probably wouldn't make a huge difference, but seeing him on the sidelines just pisses me off.

Because it's too early. The timing with all of this is just weird. We can't realistically expect a coach to say yes this early when we still have a month left in our season. Even if someone agreed to it, good luck keeping that a secret for a whole month.

Call me delusional, but I'm not throwing in the towel just because Stevens said he likes going to work every day. But maybe this will allow some people to take a much-needed break from this thread/board for awhile.

So, "not a candidate" were Goodman's words, not Stevens'. We aren't going to know who our next coach is until probably at least St. Patrick's Day. Expect nothing but denials and platitudes before then.

I knew we'd be hearing from Stevens sooner or later because IU boards have been buzzing for the past week trying to will this into existence, and eventually the noise would get so loud someone would ask him about it. Big surprise it was Jeff freaking Goodman. Stevens' answer doesn't surprise me at all.

Did Stevens say anything else? That's a pretty soft denial.

Don't worry, Chris said the 85 year old trustee who pissed off Mrs. Stevens last time won't be tagging along for this one.

I discovered message boards back in the 2000's. I never felt inclined to post on Peegs because it was just a weird group. It was full of trolling Purdue fans, and every IU fan would respond to trolls with comments like "5 banners, nuff said" or "win some banners then get back to us." It was always banners, banners, banners with them. I am surprised to hear it's basically unmoderated now. Back in the day it was ruled with an iron fist, and you were looking at a lifetime ban if you criticized Bill Lynch in any way. The Purdue board (GBI) was an unmoderated sh*thole and probably still is.

Because they need an actual source to give them the scoop. They'd get laughed out of the profession if their source was "IU fans talking about it on message boards."

We're 15-9 with only two likely wins left on the schedule. We'll be underdogs in the rest. We're probably getting 1 win at most in the BTT. I'm not sure how you can say 20 wins is "likely" right now. I think our 20-win season streak is actually in jeopardy. Overall, it just hasn't been a real fun team to watch. The long scoring droughts every game and high turnover rate would be tough for someone who's never watched an IU women's team before, let alone what we got used to seeing. We've had 3 games scoring under 50 points and we've lost at home 4 times. If we can reload and have a strong team next season, no one's going to be reminiscing about any of these games.

Getting to be that time of year unfortunately. Mid-February is when I start forgetting there's a game if the team has been having a forgettable season.

How did they even end up on our schedule? Did Woodson just draw their name out of a hat? Were the other SEC teams just too big and scary?

On Sunday, we took care of the ball but got killed on the boards. Tonight, we controlled the boards but threw the ball all over the lot. Hope we can load up in the portal this spring. I'm not a fan of regression years.

Striplin had 3 and-1's this quarter and missed the free throw each time. Sure would be nice to have those 3 points right now.

Scoring droughts are more fun when the opponent has one.

I wish offensive fouls were tracked. I bet we get at least 5 a game.
