General Coach Candidate News

Cronin as well, thankfully. -
I read the date as 2/26 instead of 2/25. For some reason it wasn't showing the score even though it had started an hour ago.
-
I had no clue who you were talking about, so I looked up Cincy and they aren't even playing tonight. We should probably steer clear of a coach who could be down 20 at the half when there's literally no one in the building.

I'm fairly convinced now that the athletic department asked a few of its employees to come on here and try to stop the Stevens talk. It just seems way too coincidental we'd get a handful of new posters basically all saying the same thing. Not to mention these guys act like they haven't done message boards before. When I posted on a message board for the very first time, I certainly wasn't thinking about going after respected posters and telling everyone what not to talk about. -

Wasting thread bandwidth, lol. That's a new one. Good to see the hall monitors are back to bringing the heat tonight. Last night was weak sauce. -

You get a guy with a proven track record who knows as much about the game as anyone and would absolutely kill it here with our resources and the support he would get. The college game more closely resembles the NBA now compared to a decade ago. -
Couple coaching blunders by Dusty at the end of the game: 1) Fouling with 12 seconds left, up 3. Fouling up 3 is fine, when there's little time left. You don't do it with that much time remaining because it just extends the game, which is what the losing team wants. Michigan proceeded to miss a one and one, giving Nebraska a shot for the win. 2) Having guys on the lane to rebound when Donaldson went to the line with 2.6 to go, up 1. If he misses either shot and you go for the rebound, you could get called for a foul. With Nebraska in the bonus, they walk to the other end and shoot free throws for a chance to tie or win. Donaldson made both so it was a non-issue. You don't need an offensive rebound if you're Michigan because you're ahead with 2 seconds left.

I've always hated how players can goad officials into reviewing a play when they're out of timeouts.
-
Another out of bounds review...ridiculous. This feels like a matinee Big Ten tournament game between two non-contenders.
-
I started watching Michigan-Nebraska at the 5 minute mark. In the last 3 minutes, I've seen a full timeout followed by a media timeout, a hook and hold review, and now an out of bounds review. As if the 45-41 score wasn't ugly enough lol.

Full timeout immediately followed by a media timeout is a bigger buzzkill than commercial breaks before and after kickoffs.

I think a lot of posters thought we were getting him 4 years ago. Then we didn't, and everyone laughed at us. They don't want to go through that again and writing it off now is one way to prevent that. I do think it's a little strange we've had an influx of new posters all trying to shout it down, though. -
IUBB vs Purdue - Sunday, 02.23.25 @ 1:30 on CBS

I think it was established awhile ago that ScottDolsonsBurner isn't Kopp. Kopp is playing professionally and the account had tweets during his games. But we've definitely had some guys recently who don't or didn't handle criticism well. Trayce and Race would argue with fans on social media after bad games. -

Purdue lost by 52 at OSU today. Gearlds has to be done, right? Their game with us next Sunday might be their last of the season.
