  1. The only way I see this happening is if Crean receives nothing but negative feedback from the schools his people are reaching out to, and Glass receives nothing but negative feedback from the candidates he's targeting.
  2. You don't need to worry about this. It would take a miracle for us to win tomorrow night.
  3. Some time last week in the Fire Crean thread (in other words, about 50 pages back, lol), there was discussion about a radio station in Orlando speculating that Donovan was interested. Their Facebook page actually posted a picture of Donovan's house, then said "This is Donovan's house after Crean is gone from IU" and it showed a Brinks truck in front of it. Also, there was a thread on the Illinois board last week that talked about Donovan possibly being interested in returning to college. No mention of IU, until some of their posters collectively crapped their pants at the thought of him coming here.
  4. Swanigan would be at California if Barnes hadn't forced him into Purdue.
  5. He told me he was going to shut it down for awhile. I think he feels he might have shared too much.
  6. I'm not happy about them reclaiming the lead in Big Ten titles, but it'll be worth it if they get Little Rock'd again.
  7. Wisconsin just doesn't have the firepower to win a game like this, and MSU is not going to be denied on its senior day. The Badgers took themselves out of the race by losing at home to Northwestern.
  8. Let's be real, a coach is never going to say he's interested in a job but will take it next year. That's complete nonsense. So many things change in a year, and college basketball is the best example of that.
  9. Anyone have crowd pics? I want to see how empty it is.
  10. Followed by the "OMG! Iuwins0708 just said he's hearing an extension is coming! Wait, he just said he's kidding, sort of, but that probably still means an extension is coming! ajwijfu824jijo328u#@$%#$@!wfo8f8sijvankjw;elkfj1!!!!!!!!!"
  11. Michigan wins by 12. They were up 21 with 7:38 to play, then Purdue decided to go into God-mode and hit everything like they did last year against us to make it a 6 point game with 2 minutes left.
  12. If Purdue manages to win this game, then just crown 'em.
  13. FWIW, I spoke with Mile and got the impression that things are quieting down because too much has been shared.
  14. In other words, the same way Jim Irsay runs the Colts. Indiana employers love them some bad coaches.
  15. Enjoy the NIT, ladies.
  16. He had made a post 5 minutes earlier about how the job is much more attractive this time around. A poster then asked him if he still felt we would be excited and he immediately responded with that. Personally, if I had everybody hanging onto my every last word like he does now, I'd probably try and have some fun with it too.
  17. Wednesday was when the Donovan rumors really started flying. Thursday morning, Mile and 0708 both independently said they felt Crean was gone after the season. Then Danny Bridges makes this Facebook post Thursday evening. 0708 just told us yesterday afternoon to watch the news after we lose in the BTT. I'm calling smokescreen.
  18. Danny Bridges. Not sure if you have to be Facebook friends with him to see it, but I'm obviously not and there were plenty of other posts visible.
  19. I looked up that guy on Facebook and that conversation appears to have been deleted.
  20. Old Friend, why do you feel Donovan's not the answer?
  21. Iuwins0708 just posted to "make sure you watch the news after IU is eliminated from the Big Ten tourney."
  22. Wisconsin sucking again tonight. I've more or less accepted that whatever needs to happen for Purdue to win the Big Ten will happen. Those bastards will probably clinch it against us.
  23. I posted this in the Fire Tom Crean thread the other night. In case anyone didn't see it, here it is again: Time to fan the flames…here is a PM conversation I had with someone two years ago: Him: So i got a call from a friend of mine who has ties with iu basketball. I was not going to post it or even let anyone know until i just read your post from the UK fan. I heard the very same thing about 3 hours ago. Billy Donovan. I was told that IU is talking to Billy and their is mutual interest. I was also told that Crean is "moving money around." I am not sure what that means but i can only assume it has to do with the buyout. Crazy. I do like the idea of Donovan. Outside of Stephens he brings instant credability to the program. Anyway, take it for what its worth. I dont feel sure enough to post it but when I read your post i almost fell out of my chair. Thought i would let someone know. Me: I can't remember where, but I heard about Donovan being interested a few weeks ago. Here's hoping it happens. IU would be set for the first time this century. Him: Would be an amazing hire. This was the post I made that prompted this conversation: Got this off another site, posted by a UK fan: "The following is from a friend of mine in the know. They are spot on when it comes to who will commit to UK way before its public. In other words, they are in the business. From them (not me): Crean gone this year and There is mutual interest between IU and Billy Donavan. Florida has apparently broken some promises to him regarding facility upgrades, etc. it's a football school and IU would be perfect for him." And now, to throw cold water on those flames…the rest of the conversation, a few days later: Me: I know it's only been a few days, but have you heard anything else? Any kind of timeline to this stuff? Him: No. Sounds like it was 3rd party feelers for both sides but IU is not willing to pull the trigger. I'm hoping "not willing to pull the trigger" was code for "not sure we want to give up on Crean just yet" and not "we don't want to go big."
  24. I think it's 2 and a half years of frustration boiling over. Ever since he broke his leg, it's been nothing but dismal, boring failure. I mean, everyone knew the season without him would suck, but then he comes back and the Pacers are still barely a playoff team. So then it's "well, his leg needed a full two years to recover." So it's been more than two years…and the Pacers are still barely a playoff team. I think PG has peaked and will never be good enough to carry the Pacers any further than the second round, nor do I think they're capable of getting enough help. It's a shame they couldn't do more in 2013-14, because that team was legitimately good enough to win it all.
  25. Top coaches would think they can do better. It's what makes them top coaches.
