He committed to the University of Maryland, but was drafted into the aba before playing a game there.

This is interesting. The whole Jordan Howard tenure at IU seems to have been very similar to Noah Vonleh's. Will he get the same hatred some have since given Vonleh? Great entertaining game yesterday. Just wish we could have won.

Please no to Mack. After that brawl between Xavier and Cincinnati about 5 years ago I'm still jaded on the thugs in those programs.

I don't thik the recruiting is the problem. It's how he handles them when they get to campus that is.

The results on the court have nothing to do with where the players are from. It has to do with the coaching. Knight could play a team completely from Uranus and beat a Crean team completely from Indiana.

Again old friend...if you think Knight's teams were more successful than Creans based upon where his players were from...then you don't understand sports.

On this part, they're completely wrong. The problem with this team is the local kids. Hollowell, Patterson, Davis, Blackman, Yogi. I don't understand how anybody can ignore this. Our best players are Williams, Bryant, Johnson...three out of state kids.

Who got credited with the turnover when Yogi threw the ball to Blackmon while he wasn't even looking at the ball for some reason? Sorry...I'm done with him as anything more than a 3 point specialist. The rest of his game is frustrating.

Was talking to a guy at work Friday.  He showed me pics of him with his arm around Dave Draymond, another with Ivan Moody, one with Slash.  Turns out his cousin is a very connected band manager.  Said he's been backstage to countless concerts with pics to match.  Said his wife doesn't like hard rock anymore.  All the sudden I think I/m going to be backstage for April's Disturbed/Shine Down/Chevelle show.    :biggrin:

  I worry about this.  Clearly you're right, IU isn't in a place where they can wait on a coach to develop.  They need to go A+ or risk losing a portion of the fanbase.
