What time is kickoff?

Jayboob let this leak from the mod site. Whatever that is. He said you can find the best recruiting tidbits on some twitter thingie.

How big is your gut?

poop. Get em next time

Wow. This guy is a perfect example of whether Indiana kids are better than highly ranked out of state kids. It'll be interesting to watch him to see if that side has any merit. Welcome to Indiana University Gelon

I'm worried about in-state recruiting.

Mike Davis was the coach. Don't pin a team's record on one kid. That's ridiculous -

Why is the US not a powerhouse in soccer? Is it because the players on the World Cup teams don't care to win as much as other countries? Is it because those players don't have the soccer iq of the players in other countries? I believe it's because our talent pool is diluted by other available (and more popular) sports that other countries don't have. What if our World Cup team had such talented athletes as Lebron James, Chris Paul, Richard Sherman, Mike Trout, Odell Beckham? What if they chose to play soccer instead of their respective sports? In America, our athletes play the sports that are popular in their area. In Indiana, it's basketball. In Florida, it's football. In Virginia, it's Lacrosse. In Maine, it's hockey. That doesn't mean that the basketball players in Indiana are better than the basketball players in Montana where rodeo is king. It just means that the talent pool in Indiana is deeper. An Indiana player doesn't have more desire to win than an Arizona player. That's a lazy stereotype. If a player has a passion to win, it doesn't matter where he's from. A competitor is a competitor. A 4 star player from Indiana is the same as a 4 star player from Oregon. There's just more to choose from in certain areas of the country. Naming players from other parts of the country as some sort of proof that Indiana players are better is specious reasoning at best. Maybe it's just pushing an agenda. Maybe it's a lack of understanding. Regardless, I certainly disagree that Indiana players somehow have more of a desire to win than competitive players in other areas. -

It's not that I understand and others don't. Just you. You think there's magic fairy dust on local kids that isn't found elsewhere. I think that's a cute theory but very short sighted. ...and you haven't shown a shred of evidence. For every Stan Robinson example you think proves your theory, I can give you a Derrick Elston. The reason Bob Knight's teams were more successful isn't because of where his kids were from. That's just silly. -

I appreciate the insults. You still don't understand how your false stereotypes hurt your credibility and your understanding of the game. -

What is lazy? Not wanting to read a post that's 10,000 words too long about that poster's long established stereotype? In America, brevity is king. What is lazy? Only seeing where a player is from to base opinions on that player and the future success of his teams? If that's not lazy, it shows a lack of understanding for the game of basketball. Whichever you like. Have a great day gocolts :P -

I'm never going to read all that nonsense. So I'll retry my post to you. If you really think Bob Knight's teams were more successful than Tom Crean's teams because of where the players were from....you're not paying attention. Better? Understand now? But I bet you refuse to. Same old "friend". -

Any update from him?
-
Like for the info, not the content. If that makes any sense. This is the only thread I've ever created for a recruit because I happened to read it in the local paper. Thanks ccgeneral for all the updates in recruiting info! How do we go from top three, to top 10, to losing to a team that was never in any list at all? lol....recruiting.

Roy Williams has now been head coach at two different programs implicated in extra benefits, both programs getting hit by Lack of Institutional Control. Was he involved, or was he oblivious? Either way he's a turd. Kick him out of basketball and bring down banners.
-
Kick multiple cheat Roy Williams out of the NCAA's. Remove the tainted titles. Remove scholarships. Impose postseason bans. Death penalty.

Thanks, Kentucky for revealing yourself

Isn't the coach responsible for evaluating high school talent too? Regardless of whose fault it is, nobody can take a highly regarded player and get them drafted lower than projections out of high school like Calipari can. -

Is anybody else as good as Calipari at taking #1 ranked recruits and turning them into undrafted players? -
Ok. Another option isn't a bad idea though. Why limit options? Let's see where this one goes.
-
I think this is great. There needs to be another option for kids except college or overseas. Some kids aren't made out for college. Forcing them there isn't always a good idea. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

I can agree with almost everything here. The part I cannot is how you can see us being picked dead last. I mean come on...Purdoo is still in the Big Ten.
-
I'm glad he went to a team with a fanbase. I would have hated for him to wind up in Jacksonville. (plus I would have hated rooting against him twice a year) Good luck Tevin!
