  1. Another year, another disappointing loss to a bottom feeder. Offense didn't show up tonight. Win Thursday and we're in first place with the advantage of the tie breaker. Gotta win Thursday.
  2. Mine was too.  The first one was anyway.  But now we need to embrace it, it's all over this board.   What's the new rule for kids testing the NBA but coming back?  If he doesn't at least test it, he's nuts.
  3. Yeah....no postgame sucks.  Especially since I took a nap today in order to stay up late.  (young people shut up and get a job)   Anybody got a link to post game pressers?
  4. How about our defense in the Big Ten...wow.  They also deserve a ton of credit for this win.  This team is fun.
  5. A huge road blowout win against the #3 team in the conference.  BLOWOUT.  Awesome.   Yogi is fun to watch this year.  This year has made me love him.   I mentioned it in another thread...Hovadipo mentioned it once...now it's been said a few times on this board...is OG a one and done?  There are a few plays every game where he's insanely good.     Bad Troy is really bad.  Thank goodness for foul trouble.     What happened to Rob Johnson since Big Ten season started?  Yikes.   Great coaching by Crean too.  Excellent blowout win.  9-1 baybee!!!!
  6. A 9:00 PM tip? On a work night? I see an afternoon nap in my future today. This is a big time basketball game between two football schools. Go Hoosiers
  7. An absolute IU basketball highlight, in the summer of 2009, I sat in Assembly Hall watching the team in a pickup game.  The only other person in the Hall was my wife...who read a book the whole time.  She didn't understand the enormity of the situation.  I got to interact with the players...letting them know what time it was...telling Matt Roth he was on fire...passed an out of bounds ball to Watford as he called me "sir"...helping ref a charge/block call between Verdell and Dumes....it was amazing.   I'm sure every player on that team has forgotten but it was amazing to me.  That's IU basketball to the fans
  8. Last year's team would have lost this game
  9. When they're bad...they're good enough to win.  This team is pretty good at closing out games.  At least since Big Ten season has started.
  10. Live by the 3, die by the 3...except last night.  Thomas Bryant was the doctor that kept us from dying.  Great game by him.   Defense was terrible.  Turrrible.  Yogi and Troy had bad games...but IU still found a way to win.  I like how this team is playing right now.  Even when they're bad they're good.
  11. I love these Tampa Bay kids. I wear my IU gear all over St Pete...so you're welcome. Welcome aboard Grayson!
  12. I'm not blaming the officiating. I'm commending Hayes for shooting free throws on every touch
  13. Would have been a charge called
  14. All the more reason to to find them ridiculous. Hartman.had a fade away charge in the second half.
  15. My favorite BS call (off them all) was when Hartman made a fadeaway midrange shot but was called for charging. Lol...really? Give Hayes more free throws.
  16. Every time Hayes touched the ball in the second half he got 2 free throws. Every time. This game came down to whether we could make him miss the shot before the free throws.
  17. UR CAPS LOCK GOT STUCK. Hayes just touched a basketball, Was awarded free throws.
  18. Nigel Hayes shot more free throws than our entire team combined. Every time he touched the ball he was given free throws. That was complete BS.
  19. "But I'm an Indiana boy...I understand the game better than you...you can't boo me!" Ugh. Boo to McIntosh forever
  20. Interesting notes from cbssports:   TIP-INS Northwestern: The 89 points allowed was the most given up by the Wildcats this season. ... Indiana native Bryant McIntosh finished with four points, six rebounds and six assists. He needs nine more assists to break Tim Doyle's season school record (157), which was set in 2006-07. ... The Wildcats are 3-3 in their last six trips to Assembly Hall and 8-6 against the Hoosiers during the Crean Era. Indiana: Needs one more win to match its longest winning streak (13) since 2000. The last time Indiana did that was in 2007-08. ... Ferrell, the Hoosiers' career assists leader, added six more to his total (559) and moved into the school's top 10 in scoring, too, by passing Eric Anderson (1,715 points). Ferrell has 1,719. ... Bielfeldt made one 3 in the game, giving him 12 this season - one more than his career total at Michigan.
  21. We outrebounded them 40-23   One thing I definitely miss about Blackmon...he always follows his 3 point shot, often getting the rebound if he misses.  All the guys out there today started backing down the court instead of following their shot.
  22. I just found this out today.  Welcome to the IU family Tyler!  I love those St Petersburg kids.  You can see a warming glow around them on a football field, they just "get" the game better than all you out of towners.  I swear.
  23.   lol, I like this.   We're blowing teams out in the Big Ten.  I really doubt that it's sustainable, but I'm enjoying the ride.
  24. How bad is the weather in Bloomington? Any chance for a delay? It's damn near freezing here...under 60 degrees which means it's gotta be brutal there
  25. Actually it seems to me that every year we lose games to bad teams. This year we haven't yet so...progress?
