What a tease of a game. I promised not to post drunk about the Colts anymore, but I was 3 minutes from posting a happy drunk post. Then those 3 minutes happened. I had to step away again. Worst parts of the game? Defense and coaching. Effin awful. We have terrible clock management. We play prevent defense which prevents wins. It was a freaking circus to watch the last few minutes. The offense couldn't move the ball, the defense couldn't stop the ball, and the coaching staff switched games. Besides all that, we had a chance to win if we could have just put points on the board at two different times. Just before the end of the half was the interception at the 10 yard line. We really needed to put points on the board there. On fourth and inches within field goal range, we ran a designed pass. It was designed for the slot receiver on a rub. When he was covered, Luck seemed surprised and had no other options. He became a statue and got sacked. 1. We could have used that field goal instead of going for it. 2. We had one option to throw to and no others? Watch it again. Luck never takes his eyes off his guy and just waits to hope he gets open. If we scored field goals on either/both of those plays we win. Despite the terrible defense. This team drives me crazy.

It's an interesting read, thanks for sharing. One thing you need to edit is that the league average is 2.48, not 2.84. Not a big difference, but it makes me feel better on my side that he's holding it longer than average rather than shorter. Clearly the line is one of the problems. I do also think that Luck needs to be aware of his protection and let it go sooner when there's pressure, but that was a good article to read. Go Colts

Purdue fans are tired of being mediocre or worse in sports. This new AD needs to make a home run hire to excite the fanbase. I'd hire a Purdoo guy, somebody they can all rally behind. If they can get a guy with NFL experience too, it would really help. Maybe a guy like Ryan Grigson?

A mid season firing means one of his assistants should take over through the season, and should have a leg up on next seasin's opening. Also it means their AD should keep his job and will be in charge of the new hire. The same dude who hired Danny Hope and Darrell Hazell. Lol. I just rewatched the practice. One name that really stood out to me that hasn't been mentioned yet is RoJo. He looked really good. I also agree with some above that said Davis wasn't quick or smooth, but there's a reason nobody has mentioned Thomas Bryant yet. Davis did a great job defending him. I'll take his defensive abilities over quickness all day. He appears to be as big as TB too

It's an interesting thought, and I can buy into it a little, but I want us to win every game. Go Colts!
