Watford, Brooks, TJD, Moore, and Forrester all seem to have shown interest in playing a somewhat stretch 4/perimeter role. If IU made a last minute visit we’d say one or both of two things: 1) Romeo wanted to respectfully inform Miller to his face that he was going elsewhere, or; 2) We’re making a last second desperate push because he’s going elsewhere. Assuming things to be factual when they are many possible outcomes is either arrogance or ignorance. I think Juwan is more likely than not to come back, but the G League is stepping up its offerings and I’m not ruling out a few NBA teams having a unique interest in him. I mean, I wouldn't rule that out. If he can come back and put together a dominate senior season, one where he's a lock down defender and can consistently hit the three, he immediately becomes a much more interesting NBA prospect. He has unique 3 and D potential, but I don't think we've really seen him reach it yet.

I will say, if he is leaving, I feel that we'd be pursuing way more grad transfer bigs than we are currently. It seems right now, based on recruiting and Chris007 info, that we're currently just trying to find a supplement to Deron, not Deron and Juwan.

That's been an argument that I've supported throughout this recruitment. If Phinisee is as underrated as it seems, as a four year PG he's far more valuable to our program, in my opinion. The argument that Romeo automatically helps make Indiana an in-state destination again is faulty in my opinion. Indiana will be a preferred destination again once we can do two things: 1) Compete at a high level over multiple years 2) Demonstrate the ability to develop players (not known NBA talent) into draft prospects Players like Phinisee will provide the stability and consistency that a OAD cannot. Romeo is going to pay dividends as well though. Can't wait for him to put on the candy stripes.

I think people forget that Devonte was only a sophomore who needed a lot of coaching and development to become a starter. He wasn’t a McDAA ready to hit the floor and impact the game. Any other team would have him as a backup learning his role to take over as an upperclassman instead of asking him to start and contribute day one freshman and sophomore year.
