If the recruit has signed an LOI I don’t see why a coach couldn’t be there. Plus, if he is there, you know they asked the NCAA first to make sure it’s ok. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

IUFB Offseason Updates
Walking Boot of Doom replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
With Dawkins, Ramsey, and Penix our QB position is now pretty sound and secure it seems. Impressed at how Allen addressed that this off season. -

It’s an awesome system with an awesome quarterback. Both can exist simultaneously, and that’s why they’ve won nearly a third of all Super Bowls since 2000. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

What do you call 16-0? Yes, he lost in the Super Bowl. My bias? I hate the Pats and Brady, I’m just not ignorant enough to discredit someone’s greatness. Edit: Also, trying to discredit an argument on the basis of semantics is bush league. I know they lost in the Super Bowl. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

And with Brady over 251 games started over 17 years they’re over .780 with 5 Super Bowls and an undefeated season. Brady is a machine and so are the Pats, but no one can sell me on the idea that some other QB could do what Brady’s done for 17 years regardless of what system they’ve played in. Also, arguing that a “system” can’t be deconstructed and creatively stopped by 31 other professional teams each year for 17 years doesn’t seem all that logical. They’ve said all there is to say: Romeo is coming to Indiana. Take your pins and needles, pick up Bailey and the kids, and go play Gossip Girl in the other sandbox. This is a drama free zone now my friend. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
I hate Brady and the Patriots and think LeBron is unreal obnoxious, but... In this thread I’ve witnessed Indiana sports fans claim that LeBron only wins because of refs, they don’t want LeBron nor Brady on their teams, and that Brady is just good. Those are two of the greatest players in their respective sports. It’s actually embarrassing reading these garbage takes which all seem to derive from some weird sports inferiority complex. I get that it’s popular to rip the NCAA, but it’s the individual schools that sell their souls to the shoe companies and networks and keep this charade going. The day they decide they have a morale obligation to stop the cheating, that the ethical reasoning behind making millions and millions off of the hard work of athletes while pretending they’re students is weak at best, and that they’ve created a monster that is more important than the very purpose of their institution and it needs to end, then we may see real change. That said, I expect this FBI investigation to result in serious punishments. It’s not that these schools cheated - it’s that they cheated the NCAA and other schools out of additional profit through under the table dealings. Punish the bad actors and get more of that money up top for the rest. The mob will have their fair share. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

1) Bailey pretty much concocted this narrative that Grimes now thinks Romeo is coming to IU based on weak inferences on some flaky comments by Rabjohns 2) Yogi that source who said something is coming to make it interesting but I’m too busy to elaborate right now is probably completely full of poop Finally, I’ve got some big news - Romeo Langford will be committing tomorrow at 7PM in his local high school gym in front of thousands of desperately hopeful Indiana fans. Word is, per multiple reliable sources on this board who have not wavered, Indiana is going to be the pick. I also have a few notes on what he’s supposedly going to wear to his announcement from a friend who’s good friend’s with Jim Shannon’s wife, but I’m going to let that remain a surprise for you all. How exciting! I hope it’s red! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

No one will forget him if he doesn’t come here. Indiana fans are practically the Cubs fans of college basketball. Woe is me and we are cursed. He’ll be memorialized in the shrine of reasons my life sucks for half the Hoosier Faithful, right next to Larry Bird, Greenspan, Kelvin Sampson, and Tom Crean. I don’t get why everyone puts so much trust in Rabjohns... the guy works hard to put out a quality product covering the team, but when it comes to recruiting/insider info he seems to be played every which way. Sure, he just “reports what he hears”, but apparently he hears every story out there. This feels like a hedge against a confident statement, and now he’s getting some cold feet. I’m holding strong that Indiana makes the most sense as a “business decision” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Juwan Morgan RETURNING For Senior Season
Walking Boot of Doom replied to Cheaney40's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My point was that it’s never a guarantee that your stock improves, citing “more talented/hyped” players than Juwan playing on better teams as an example. I also think there are individual facets of Juwan’s game that need improvement that won’t be suddenly there because of the addition of more talent. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Juwan Morgan RETURNING For Senior Season
Walking Boot of Doom replied to Cheaney40's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Did Miles Bridges’ and Grayson Allen’s stock go up? Juwan will need to make some major leaps to demonstrate NBA readiness/draft worthiness. I think he’s at the point where going to the G League will make just as much sense in the long term as staying a year at Indiana. Romeo will certainly help spread the floor for Juwan, but it’ll be interesting to see if Juwan takes a big step forward on defense or as a 3PT threat. That’s what will open NBA scouts’ eyes.
