  1. Guys, all RealIU is saying is that there are scouts that are genuinely interested in Juwan. Just because he’s not in the top 100 list created by scouts who want to put their opinion out there does not mean there aren’t scouts who are interested. If you think you have an under the radar guy in your sights, you’re not putting him on some top 100 list. We see this every year with the draft. This is another completely plausible theory. 2. Nike will be dragged into it soon enough. The FBI doesn’t have the same self-interest to turn away from evidence. Their financial crime task force is probably giddy with excitement over the opportunity to uncover such massive and elaborate fraud. Busting scumbag stockbrokers and politicians gets old after a while I’m sure. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  3. Once again, if you think the timing of some Romeo news developing and Juwan finally announcing he’s submitting his name to the draft is just a coincidence, you’re fooling yourself. This all feels heavily calculated, and based on the burst recruitment we saw last summer and burst recruitment Chris007 is hinting at this summer, I’d say we’re seeing Archie’s coordination playing out every step of the way. Now, let’s assume I’m wrong. This isn’t coordinated. I’m still not worried. Juwan is not an NBA Draft prospect right now. He showed that he can definitely play at the next level, in my opinion, but he’s a guy that isn’t worth a draft pick. If he comes back, develops his handles, demonstrates a consistent ability to hit threes, and just dominates defensively, then I think he becomes a draft pick in 2019. I’m very confident NBA scouts will tell him the same thing. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  4. For ease: “What I’m gathering through sources is he’s going to go to Indiana,” Meyer said. “It would be Kansas and Vanderbilt standing on the outside of that decision. I’m hearing he’s made up his mind. As the phrase people love to use, which during these sensitive times may be too much, but it’s a done deal.”
  5. Don't fool yourself into believing this timing wasn't planned. I think every move Archie makes is highly calculated.
  6. If he doesn't commit to Indiana now, the melt down will be legendary.
  7. We're gonna get to 700 pages just on PM requests alone...
  8. Yes, that's the only way to look at it. It's a broken system.
  9. I hate that I have, but I've been sounding this alarm since day one. I don't like the schools involved in Langford's recruitment. Doesn't appear that Archie is going to play that game though, but it's hard to truly believe that as well.
  10. I forgot that you were ever “wrong” before. You literally only post if it’s something serious/imminent which is why your word is taken so serious on recruitment. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. I don’t see how the entire university remains in place. This isn’t just an athletics department issue. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  12. I don't know any recruits or families personally, but I feel incredibly confident saying that should never be a concern. Unless, say, some loudmouth obnoxious coach was going around telling all the media to bug you about it and telling them that you prefer your Vand... I mean your school. I could see that annoying people.
  13. That’s fair. I forgot about EG. Vic hasn’t cemented anything yet, in my opinion. He’s having an all-star year, but to be a star you need to bring that kind of play year after year. I really hope this is the new norm for Vic, but he’s playing so far above his previous average logic says he’s likely to regress slightly next year. Indiana just isn’t known for producing the top NBA talent. EG, Vic, and OG could all help change that. Yogi too if the Mavs don’t waste his talent. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Isaiah Thomas has been the most successful NBA player out of Indiana. Vic is our next chance to have a star. Maybe OG as well. Other than that, we have some guys early in their careers and we’ll see how long they end up playing. I stand by my original point. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Well, yeah? They’re all about getting to the highest level of competition and the job that is going to change their lives. If they weren’t all about it, they wouldn’t work so hard to become the players they are today. Honestly, Indiana just has a long history of players that peaked in college and didn’t have the tools necessary for the NBA, and the fanbase isn’t used to it, in my opinion. 16. If someone posts stuff that’s 1) incorrect 2) dumb, don’t be surprised when people call it out for what it is. This board is unreal. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. If everyone thinks locker room renovations are what is finally making us competitive and finally justification that the guys in charge know what they are doing... have you not been watching two of the largest renovation projects in school history with Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium?! Glad locker rooms are being done. Nice finishing touch. Nothing compared to what’s already been done and what is currently underway. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. He's usually not wrong that's for sure!
  19. According to the board, we could just pick for him by selecting any team except Indiana, and then switching it to another non-Indiana team the day of.
  20. JERRY MEYER WANNABE YOU HATE IU
  21. Cool, thanks for the update!
  22. @RBB89 have you heard much about Tronti? Sounds like Ramsey and Penix are the emerging leaders for the starter spot at QB. Is Reese Taylor still competing for a QB spot?
  23. If you want, I can argue that this is a recruiting advantage for a sport dominated by hypercompetitive alpha males: "The 25,000 sqft weight room is shared by all sports, but they have to work around YOUR schedule. And if those other soft non-contact sports think they can share the space with you, you have the authority to kick them out. This is your house, and they will ask your permission to use it. Welcome to IUFB." But you can continue to find reasons to complain if you'd like. Anyone who thinks instant gratification is a millenial thing clearing has never read fan forums. Fred Glass is building up IU to be a athletics powerhouse in the long-term, while McRobbie is leading an academic resurgence I don't think Indiana has ever experienced. I'm really proud of what the leaders of the university are accomplishing. EDIT: Sorry mods, feel free to move to the appropriate thread if this is out of place...
