Hovadipo reacted to Demo in NBA Thread
Pacers give up a 2nd and a 2nd round swap to Memphis for Jay Huff. Helps patch their center hole while they have 15 months or so to determine a long term plan. Strictly a rotation guy.

I think they're going to let Benn off the leash next year and see how the chips fall. Best case, you've got a bona fide scorer ready to make the leap when Tyrese is working his way back in 26-27 and then it's all systems go in 27-28.
Worst case, no Tyrese + Benn chucking craters the offense and you land a lottery pick in a pretty friggin' good draft. Only issue with this is I think Nembhard and Pascal are too good to find the true bottom unless they pick up an injury along the way that the front office decides is going to be a season-ender. I also wonder if, for this scenario's purpose, they don't try to replace Myles and instead just plug that hole with nothing spectacular.

Prince’s prediction for IUFB’s record. Figured he should be included here since he’s, ya know, everywhere now. That kid is killing me.

9-3. You'd have to steal one of the Iowa/Oregon/PSU road games to put us back in the CFP convo, but those are all brutal in their own ways.
The absolute floor is 7 (and you can talk me into 8) and I'll set the ceiling at 10.

It's summer so I put my pouch of cheap coffee in a pitcher overnight in the fridge and have about 6 days worth of coffee ready to pour over ice 12 hours later. Suck it Stu!

This is a perfectly good non-con.
A couple of top 20 opponents, a couple top 50 opponents, a few mid majors between 150-250, and a few 250+ teams.
A great mix in my opinion.

Hey - I didn't mention the repeated lack of defense when that player is still in the back court complaining about perceived missed calls!
Losing badly and thereafter intentionally poking my favorite Chloe Moore-McNeill in the eyes on an out of bounds play? Stuhoo don't forget.

Looooove Myles, but no shot we should've done ~27/year. Probably not even if Tyrese was healthy next season. I can't imagine the meltdown next year after paying him 20+ then watching him flounder about on offense without Tyrese setting up all of his looks that got him that deal.

Not exactly an NBA stat line, but because I'm an admitted hater, can someone tell me if a pro basketball player that is averaging:
18.2 ppg on 39% fg and 29.5% 3 pt, with 5.9 turnovers per game Would somehow be seen as a hyper-effective superstar?

Only if they want to see me self-harm.
The only bright side of that hypo would be that if anyone could get Ayton to play to his potential it'd be Rick.

They showed up and played halftime of the Double Doink Bears/Eagles playoff game and absolutely ripped. A group of guys sitting next to us that would’ve been in the age group to be big Local H-in-their-heyday Chicago guys thought it was simultaneously random as hell and awesome.

If you fill your roster with Georgia kids, you’re gonna be a in a pretty good spot in all likelihood.

Sure… and still deemed talented enough to take at #5 overall without the drafting team even getting to work him out first lol. He’s got a lot of upside if he’s 6’7.5 or 6’9 in shoes or whatever. He has a 7’ wingspan. Him and Clayton give Utah fans plenty to be excited about. And perhaps going somewhere less flashy is exactly what Bailey needs to lock in on his development and tune out negative influences in his camp. Could just as easily see it working out as going bust.
