  1. Annnndddd I have work.... And am in a position where I can't really be taking nights off given my shift and how many people are trained in certain areas on the shift. At least I'll be able to follow it online....
  2. I could see it as just more ammunition for some people. I mean people were getting upset about our strength coach on the bench earlier in the year..... like what.
  3. Go watch NBA bigs. Hammons can't compete with them.
  4. I'd be absolutely livid if we wasted our first round pick on him. Turner is the future at the 5, why waste a first round pick on a guy who would never be anything but a back up
  5. An unathletic back to the basket big. Who can't play uptempo? I would be shocked
  6. I guess I'd be happy with an elite 8 at the least. We have the talent, but yeah our postseason history with Crean is not good to say the least. Sure some of this is going to come to the draw we get. But for the most part coaching and talent should win out,
  7. Purdue kicking Illinois's ass
  8. Kind of like guys coming here because one season and coming here and acting like it completely supersedes everything else we've ever seen from Crean.
  9. I thought that was going to be a NBA thing too? Because as a fan of basketball I really need someone holding my hand to let me know what is going on........ Like if you can't tell it is a three point shot without a big red line, you might have bigger issues.
  10. Never said there was an issue with that. Chances are OG and Morgan are going to be 3-4 year players. But again there is a huge difference because OG already contributes and Morgan has moments. It doesn't even look like Gelon is going to see the court outside of garbage minutes as a freshman and potentially sophomore. I could realistically even see him not being able to see the court much as a junior. Spending a scholarship on a guy who might not even play until his fourth year isn't enjoyable
  11. I mean, the comparison isn't really applicable to those guys. Max was on a Big Ten team already, most were glad to get him here with our lack of depth inside before his commitment. OG had tons of athleticism, and potential, so people were excited about him. Morgan was a low 4-star or high 3-star depending on what recruiting source you go with. Every recruit we has their detractors, for whatever reason (they're just going to end up leaving early, they're not from Indiana, etc), but for the most part they are supported.    I hope I'm wrong, but man, I just can't really see Gelon contributing much until maybe the end of his junior year here. The only guy you listed who is an applicable comparison would be Z, but most of the complaints people had about Z are pretty spot on, all he is is a shooter. He has definitely shot the ball better than we really expected, and has been an upper classmen leader, but otherwise he isn't bringing a ton which people were afraid of. Gelon doesn't seem to do much of anything at a Major 5 conference level even average right now besides shoot the ball. And even then it looks like right now he is going to be completely reliant upon everyone else to get him open shots. Having a player that needs exceptional talent around him just to be serviceable in conference is a big concern, and is a valid concern.
  12. Apologize? For what? Stating their opinion? Seriously, no. I've given Crean props for this year. But I have nothing to apologize for, and really most here don't. It's the internet
  13. Eh. Could go either way. Looks like Z was going to put it back on the court.
  14. Great play by TB early. Layman is killing us
  15. He lost a contact. Some of you guys are ridiculous.
  16. Troy going in for the help defense with t-rex arms......
  17. There isn't a chance Skal is back next year. He clearly isn't ready for the NBA, but he had enough eligibility issues coming in, can't see him staying past one year. Could see Briscoe bolting if he gets evals back that would make him want to leave, but would probably be a mistake.
  18. True. The big thing for me is they hit so many of the bullet points for what you want with a team in March, really hitting their stride, great coach, lead by a senior guard, good mix of young guys and vets, at least one freshman that has shown he  can be a pretty good impact type guy.    I mean you always take the field, but if I had to bet on one team, MSU is the team I'd bet on right now
  19. So MSU is going to win the national championship.
  20. Honestly could see Sanders (he is the kid from Rutgers, right?) getting the honors just because the guard position has been so weak among freshmen. He has at least put up numbers, Rutgers is just absolutely horrendous
  21. TB running the point, right?
  22. Outstanding to win outright. Congrats Crean and team!
  23. On which list at 95? Draftexpress has him at 35
  24. So the tournament that is at the end of the year is irrelevant? I guess if you want to ignore that usually winning it is an indicator that the team is playing their best ball of the year, look at MSU last year that team talent wise really wasn't that good. But they entered the BTT playing their best ball of the year and it carried over to the NCAA tourney. We're playing really well right now, but Crean's history in the BTT is putrid, and that has more or less carried over into the NCAAs. Hopefully that changes this year, but the BTT is not irrelevant.
