  1. If you are talking about Mile has later clarified in a positive way.
  2. UNC could have sanctions coming. Cal has left every school with sanctions right? Louisville is not a concern to me. Duke maybe but why follow a legend vs building yourself into a legend here where we are a long time removed from a legend
  3. I may have missed it but what was the Hanner and Holt discussion about. Janitor isn't one of them right?
  4. Does "perennial top 25" mean every year or every third year
  5. Creans buyout drops this summer right. Maybe waiting for an NBA coach is not a bad idea.
  6. Chris Collins "I love Indiana basketball, at the high school, grassroots (levels)." When asked about McIntosh beating Indiana Not saying he is the guy but it would be a good idea for the next coach to really understand this. You don't need all Indiana kids but there are a lot to consider
  7. Whoa let's not do anything to stop this now ok.
  8. When he says the odds are very good that Donovan will be coaching at Indiana next year I hope he is not just substituting Indiana generically for in college. Hopefully he knows something
  9. You know that is kind of a stupid article. I know you did not write or promote it but it really annoyed me. I am only a partial Marshall supporter so it is not that. Someone explain it to me.
  10. How so?
  11. I thought so too but it looks like he was offered a scholarship to play there but signed with Indiana
  12. Can you remind me Thursday
  13. It was only one game. Saw parts of the win at Wisconsin but not enough to focus on Collins. A win there alone is impressive. Need to see some Dayton games but I always seem to miss those.
  14. Watching Northwestern tonight hoping to see Collins wizardly leading the cats to a convincing win. Seeing an offense struggle mightily against Rutgers.
  15. I would think that he is also trying to find a place his son could play baseball. That might make some places a little more complicated. I wonder if NC State is a good fit. Their current coach took them to the tourney his first two years then misses the next two. This year he had a very good recruiting class but they struggled because they were young. Sound familiar?
  16. The problem with that is there really are only a few clear home run hires and a lot of potentially great hires. We may not have what it takes to draw the absolute HRs guys because it is not necc money that does that for a guy like Brad who greatly values family and may get a huge benefit in Boston by having summers off. You can't put a price tag on family time. I am not convinced our last three hires were our best efforts. Crean is the closest and we were offering a big challenge in the shadow of RMK. The RMK shadow is still here but it is small now and the program has stabilized. I say do our very best this time around. Make the best hire and equip that coach to excel but do not get encumbered with a crazy long term contract initially.
  17. Do you mean wanting Bennett is way out there or that there is some story about him out there.
  18. I sent you a PM a moment ago.
  19. Anyone have the link to that top 50 coaches article? Might be others in there we have overlooked
  20. Great point. Also be prepared for the really young defense yet we also have 3 jr guards. I know 2 have started since freshman here and Josh played a lot at Pitt. We are not really young
  21. I actually never really mentioned rankings in my comment. I suggested that TC was not a great recruiter and pointed to unbalanced classes and rosters and the diamonds in the rough stuff only. Izzo is successful because he knows what he wants and recruits it. Creans rankings may be on par with MSU but Crean seems to struggle more with how to build a team out of that talent. Tom Crean is not a great recruiter.
  22. Yeah you may be right with MSU but izzo does not have to be a great recruiter to win.
  23. After the rebuild his recruiting has been good but not great considering he is at Indiana. Unbalanced classes and unbalanced rosters have really hurt his teams. Considering he is at Indiana has he recruited better than his peers (Duke, UNC, Louisville, MSU, etc...)? Can he ID some diamonds in the rough? Sure but a lot of times we end up with just the rough. If you want to say he is great at finding diamonds in the rough I would argue less, but a great recruiter he is not.
