You know I will have to give it to him if he is back. Figuratively and literally as I will move on from IU basketball as one of my primary areas of interest. I won't be bitter and in some ways will admire them (for sticking to the gut) for trying another year of this when they have to know the potential for a fan revolt is huge. If he is back they can have the program. It would be time to move on.

I don't think anyone has consistently said it was a done deal. Some have said he will be the next coach but have also later stated that if all continues or based on what they think. Might happen or might not

We don't spend much time on our boards talking about NC States coaching search so I would not expect much from other boards on our search. That being said, someone linked a discussion on the Illini board discussing Donovan to Indiana and I am pretty sure there was a link from a Kentucky board as well. I don't have those links, just memory. Then you have the Florida radio guy and a couple of random tweets this week (grizzly and a guy named red). The chatter has been outside of the IU boards but it is the guys who are Indiana insiders and have had some early info before that are really fueling the Donovan fire. Until the new coach takes over we don't know who we will get. So far though, of the linked names i would be good with the candidates

Well it is good to have different perspectives on a message board even when I disagree. Time for Crean to go but I could not think of anyone more counter to what Indiana has stood for than Sampson. In Sampsons short time here he lied repeatedly, brought in kids who spent more time marketing drugs than in class and built a toxic culture that had to be blown up.

Old article about Sean Miller. Interesting though and as you read through it you can feel that there is this tension Arizona has about trying to keep him. Near the end, it is interesting to see that the football team is struggling somewhat financially. Perhaps this could be why Sean would leave what seems to be a great place. Mag said Crean and Glass met this morning and Glass told him he was done after the BTT. The new part of this is that according to Mags guy they actually met today and the decision has been made and passed on to coach

Hutch has always seemed a status quo guy. Was that way back with Davis too. So if that is your bent then you might hear what you want to hear or interpret things that way and you may support others with similar thoughts. Don't know if that is the case here. It does seem that Mile who has not generally been a anti Crean guy has been out front with information that is completely contrary to the idea of keeping Crean. Not sure if both can be true - why contact so many others if you are going to keep Crean. Either you can do both (check with other coaches while thinking you might keep him) or one side is way less connected than they think.

Fife is interesting though. Not that he is ready but he does work for Izzo, Creans former boss. Just an interesting dynamic. It also makes this more believable because who would include Fife in that list if they were just making this up.
