  1. I think RoJo knew he was coming out and shot that.
  2. This would be a much better fit than NC State
  3. JBj getting rebounds. When he rebounds we usually win. Keep an eye on that
  4. Thought Pastner then he turned and took a drink and it continued. Can't be the trainer b/c it was pretty Basketball specific. High Post etc.
  5. Good run for the most part without JB RoJo Josh or Morgan. So waddya so sub
  6. I tend to agree since it is a tourney game. He is not going to make a coaching change today.
  7. No Tom, is definitely married to Joanie not Gottfried
  8. Yeah I am glad to see him in the tourney
  9. On the drive home he was on the radio and when asked if Crean were at IU next year he said yes. Despite his article he said yes. He did caveat it with if some crazy happens then maybe not but he is still in the he is staying camp.
  10. Thanks. Strongly believe that is coordinated. I don't care if you think you get the standard answer you would ask AND Glass had an opportunity to support on his own and did not.
  11. If they did not talk about Crean that is telling. No way Kent skips that unless told to
  12. What other site - have not seen that
  13. Hickorys problem was he shared then lectured. No one really questions his sources but when you lecture you will likely get some push back.
  14. Wait, you have called Fred Glass directly
  15. He actually gave him the vote of confidence on 3/5/15. Later he reiterated and outlined the standards "My goals for this program are to perenially contend for and to win multiple Big Ten championships, regularly go deep in the NCAA tournament and win our next national championship," Glass said. "Be elite, if you will. As a lifelong Hoosier and IU basketball fan, alumnus and current AD, nobody wants that more than me."
  16. If Crean is back I recommend we rent a billboard in Bloomington and put these word from Fred Glass up there. "My goals for this program are to perenially contend for and to win multiple Big Ten championships, regularly go deep in the NCAA tournament and win our next national championship," Glass said. "Be elite, if you will. As a lifelong Hoosier and IU basketball fan, alumnus and current AD, nobody wants that more than me. With some snarky comment about if you want to see that, turn around and go watch Butler or something like that.
  17. Only if he wants to tell OKC and make the full decision now. Then if they will have him stay and coach we should be able to wait. So since that is so easy think about what could be the snag. What if he doesn't want to give his notice to OKC until after playoffs and thus cannot sign your deal until then. Combine that with his history of changing his mind and now you have a snag. May be something else but could easily be this
  18. Old Friends info shows Alford to be more consistent. Plenty of info there to show that Alford is better than Crean. The margin of difference and how that translates to IU is uncertain
  19. The question for me is this. Would he commit and sign (if even possible while somewhere else) now or does he want to wait till then to decide?
  20. He is done my list as well but here are the positives. Started coaching at Manchester where and turned that program around right away. At that level it is not as much about recruiting success as coaching. He took them to a national championship game I think. Then moved up to SWMS and built them up as well getting to a sweet sixteen. This propelled him to Iowa. At Iowa things started well and he had some BTT tourney success early on but the wheels fell off. Coaches before and after him at Iowa have had more success than he did so the problems there had a lot to do with him. Add to that the PP situation and Iowa is a blemish. Then to the Lobos and once again he builds them up to a strong program. Even entered the tournament as a 3 seed only to fall short. Then once again he moves up, this time to UCLA and has not had blue blood success but has had 2 sweet sixteens in 3 years and are liking strong this year. If you discount Iowa (not easy to do) as being too much too early like Belchek at Cleveland then the rest of his time does show some things to consider. 4 rebuilds. Sweet sixteens at several schools. What hurts him is Iowa for sure and not staying somewhere long enough to build beyond a sweet sixteen run.
  21. Does he get any rebuild years at UCLA and SWMS? If those are in your 22 years then there might be some need for that. The problem with looking at his record is, other than Iowa, he builds a program up and then moves up. I would have loved to have seen sustained success at some school. The lack of sustained success is my biggest gripe with Crean.
  22. I know many are not big on second chances but I could get on board IF Alford legitimately talked about how he failed in handling that PP matter at Iowa. Not a fake apology but real and one that would have to convince this skeptic. Then if we miss on BD, SM and are down to the Marshall level I would at least consider him here.
  23. It is not so much that he walks in the door and while the hallelujah chorus sings in the background kids fall down in awe. Rather, being a former Indiana HS all-star, being the son of Hall of fame HS coach and having played at an All American level at the state school he would likely prioritize and connect with kids much better here. Now, I don't think anyone locks down the state anymore but I have no doubt he would recruit the state better.
  24. Pretty sure he was at Cincinnati. At IU he may be a preferred walk on. The Cincinnati offer suggests he has some skills.
