If anything like that is true I find it hard to believe Wilson is still at IU. Not doubting you because crazy happens but you just cannot do that today, even in football. Hope this team can turn things around this year but 2 bad losses are already draining any hope for the season. Honestly we still have things to prove. If anything, our only consistency the last few years has been inconsistency. I would prefer more doubters at this point to help provide an edge. If you heard Wilson after the Mizzou game they clearly heard and read the media and fan doubts. They clearly used that to help provide focus and that needed edge. I agree. We may struggle early but this team has a lot of talent. If last year did not happen many on here would expect a top 5 finish in the BT and the national guys would be much higher too. I expect a top 5 BT finish and a team that is in the bottom half of the top 25 the last half of the year. Not enough talent/experience to get to FF but enough that I would be very disappointed with no NCAA. Let's say Troy averages 14 and 6. Probably not obvious NBA numbers but say he has three or four big games late in the season, maybe in the tourney, where he scores something in the high twenties. I don't think this is true. I doubt most guys that have been critical of Crean are very good with signing Morgan. Morgan was a guy we targeted early, is a four star and is listed as a PF. If he comes in and is slow to develop initially like HP was then yeah people may get impatient but that has more to do with our desire to win. Crean needs both immediate contributors and guys than can develop over time. If Morgan is a develop over time guy that is fine but being a 4* kid you would assume he should be further ahead and can contribute in year 1. "Kind of like IU recently". Mike Davis had 6 years and were trending downward big time his last two. Sampson came in as a cheater and still cheated here. He also brought in kids that did not fit the IU standard. Crean is in year 6. We have not been a program that quickly turns over coaches unless you think we should have given Sampson more time. Is PT really something another program can offer that we cannot? We have a need for guys who can compete down low. The way Crean substitutes you know he will get time. I do not understand how PT could be a realistic factor for us. Now had it been two years ago I would see it but we had no postseason play last year.
