I would not say I felt sorry for the kids but I believe that Crean is not getting the most out of them nor pushing them to become all they can be. For that I get the empathy idea and place the majority of this on Crean.
-
Is she still following Crean on Twitter?
-
I don't see much from OG to think he will do much this year. Our next several games are against weak teams so now is the time to let OG try and find his groove. I will be sorely disappointed if we win these games by 15 or more points and OG does not have a ton of minutes

I think IU and Crean do a lot of work to make sure he is well liked in the industry. Hence the recent articles from national guys subtlety defending him but that tide is turning. Jay Williams has been beating the negative drum on IU (not completely directed at Crean but he has been included), DV last night really questioned our team repeatedly and in this article there are several national folks taking jabs now too. Sage, one year after being here for MM clearly questioning the makeup and leadership of this program. Heck even Seth Davis got a little negative The tide is turning. I really wonder what the boosters that attended the game last night thought. Are they happy just to be able to travel with the team or do they expect higher results? Do they think it is all on the players (again), bad luck due to not having the roster Crean thought he would (again) or do they like many of us see this falling mostly on Crean?

Analysis: Where does Indiana Basketball go from here?

for some yeah that applies but the Z double is just bad coaching. Bad preparation. Z gave great effort on that play but you cannot outrun a pass and he should have never left his man to double When this becomes the theme every year I just cannot pin much on players. One man identified and recruited these guys to come play here. Season after season one guy has kids that do not defend well. Crean is the guy. If this were a one year deal then fine but with so many different kids the problem is the same. -
I did notice he wore a subtle Duke shade of blue UM sweater too
-
Why does Duke have their managers sprint across the court like that. I noticed for the first time during our game and kept thinking they were white polo wearing Rudys. What message are they trying to send or what emotion are they trying to instill.

I know family ties sometimes blind us but Harbaugh did not let the fact that he did not have his guys keep them from making a lot of noise in football this year. I wonder what he was thinking while watching that game last night.

I noticed these things too. We seem to want our guys to always double the opponent. Z's man passed to a guy who had his back to basket 20 feet away and z follows the pass and doubles the guy. The guy simply passed back to Z's man who hits the three. Z should never have left to double anyone. We also have too many times when our better defenders are trying to turn their man with the ball away from the lane. That works but the overplay here leads to an easy blow by and no one rotates over to cut off the drive. Watch the end of the Wake game. They did this 3 times, against RoJo, down the stretch. Then again against UNLV. The defensive preparedness is s big part of the problem coupled with others giving poor effort. -
This has been my point all along. The pressure is extremely high right now. IU knows it which is why they took the Crean speech off the scoreboard our last game. Glass will probably say something that sounds like support or we lose some more games and the pressure builds.
-
Crean. On one occasion Z's man passes the ball to Bryant's man who is standing with his back to the basket in the three point line. NZ immediately runs to cover that man too and leaves his man wide open. That is preparation and what he was coached to do.
-
I agree. Maybe if one year but because it repeats every year post Zeller and VO then you can't blame the players
-
Why have Z double a guy with his back to the basket and leave a shooter open. Sorry that is coaching and preparation

Bowl Possibilities: Where could IU end up playing?
8bucks replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I got an email from IU on the possible bowls and looked at the Nashville one only. They listed ticket prices at $85 and I assume those are preferred ticket pricing but then looked at the bowl page and they had tickets as low as $25. Anyone know what the difference is? -
Also we lost 4 out of our last nine games and nearly lost in the second round of the NCAA tourney Great team through the game at East Lansing then a really poor finish to the season.

IU vs Alcorn St Post Game Thread

Ah, others not I, were right. I personally would have preferred to win 85 to 25 to show a commitment to focusing on defense but I suppose we are what we are. -

Wonder which is correct @insidethehall: Alcorn State scored .99 points per possession tonight against Indiana. Came in averaging .91. #iubb -
No. Our zone is not a tool against good teams
-
Would really like to see the regulars sit now. Save legs and avoid injuries and let's see what we have on the bench
-
Well they changed some things to divert attention. @MikeMillerHT: Indiana seems to have removed Tom Crean's voiceover from the pregame introduction video. Interesting. #iubb

Interesting decision. Good idea not to give the fans a target. @MikeMillerHT: Indiana seems to have removed Tom Crean's voiceover from the pregame introduction video. Interesting. #iubb
