With your golf game? I’d recommend spending it on golf balls you can lose. I’m not convinced there is that much difference between irons. I’d recommend getting fitted whatever you do. They should be able to do that at most Purdue Person’s. I’ve been playing a set of irons that are 25+ years old. The only difference I can feel from my newer irons is a loss of a few yards. They’re cavity backs while my newer ones are closer to blades. You can’t go wrong with Titliest if you can hit them. Regardless, get them fitted to your swing. There are 7 Big 1.o teams that haven't hit that fourth appearance in the Gavitt Games, yet. If they stick to that they'll probably play this season which leaves 1 more Big 1.o team with four appearances to fill that 8th spot. Out of those teams: Ill, IU, Michigan, Neb, O$U, Rutgers, and Wiscy we haven't exactly been setting the world on fire. We could be selected for that 8th game but it could just as likely go to one of the other teams that have been and will still be towards the top of the league.

It’s not who starts but who finishes… unless, you know, you’re digging out of holes consistently trying to get back in the game because your senior “shooter” isn’t a maker and consistently takes bad shots. We need to have a better lineup to start games. The talent should be there. He can play a role on the team but should know where his spots are. That will help his percentages and help the team to win games. Not over helping on any drive that’s close to him, leaving shooters wide open would go a long ways too. Never mentioned TJD and leadership re: NW. TJD is not a natural leader. Watch games, watch post-game pressers, interviews, etc. Kudos for him taking on the role. I hope he succeeds. No, I’m not following him around all day? I know we all want the best for our players. If you step back a little and view things without those crimson colored glasses on there are some obvious signs. The upside? TJD is praised as standing up as the leader of the team, articles are written about it, the hype builds, blah blah. It makes for great coverage but shows little true leadership. There are far better ways to go about it. TJD should be pushing his teammates to be in Cook Hall everyday, ensuring his teammates are taking care of business, and holding each one responsible. I believe some of this was said when the NW suspensions occurred but it didn’t tow the company line so we had ‘not fan’ fans. Awesome that he wanted to own this. Agree with BGleas, there’s stuff that you keep in the locker room and ways you make stuff public. “We should have had better chemistry last season. I’ve corrected that moving forward and I’m taking ownership of it” The people that need to know what that statement means have already been addressed. The ones that left the program know too. Great news, excited he’s returning for his fourth season and to become a graduate of IU. More than anything, I hope he’s working on the leadership aspect of his game (getting everyone in Cook Hall and pushing them to get better everyday.) **Let’s wait to talk when the results warrant. This is outstanding!! We need to stack talent on talent. The next step is getting TJD to return and these men to get to work breaking through their current limitations. Having Malik get a year behind Race and Trayce before taking over is outstanding!!
