  1. Good, I'll go back to thinking he's a turd again. Can you imagine being an assistant and not being able to land a single recruit to I freaking U?! haha How bad do you have to suck at your job?
  2. Absolutely, it should but as we both know there are influences to the way we think. I was simply checking to see if the winds had shifted to where we should think Fife could get the job done this time.
  3. No need to apologize. Your response to whether we liked Fife this week confused me. I guess we could bring Knight back on staff for discipline consulting.
  4. There are no sides. I was trying to determine if we still thought Fife was a turd after everything he did to negatively impact IU or if he was back in our good graces.
  5. TJD loaded up on points, rebounds, blocks and such to be considered statistically one of the all time greats at IU. He has a play in and first round win to show for it. As you know, there is a lot more that goes into it than just the skills of the individual.
  6. I took it as bringing Fife back despite what we were told he did to sabotage the program for his one season at IU. I guess I don't understand how he would be really good after doing so many things wrong in his one season as an assistant at IU.
  7. Just checking which way the wind is blowing this week. Would Fife be a good assistant if he's against NIL, pissed off Indiana high school coaches, couldn't land recruits, thought he was the coach in waiting, and was generally an @$$? Just trying to clarify how it was a good thing he was fired but would also be a good thing to have him return.
  8. I thought Fife sabotaged recruits, continued to bring up politics to players after being told to cut it out, and was generally insubordinate. I guess I could be thinking about a different recent assistant coach.
  9. I believe Texas going to the title game is the only possible points I have left
  10. Same, if he did I thought it would be similar to Bill Self's set they run at end of games to get a 3.
  11. Shocked KSU fumbled that last play away. Heck of a run by FAU
  12. Agree with your overall premise. I'd like to see us have a defined PG and big then some combination of big and small wings.
  13. Both of these teams are tough. They've gone through some stretches where they struggled but got right back in it.
  14. I'd add basketball intelligence to this. We've had our fair share of players who lack "it" and part of "it" is basketball IQ.
  15. I thought Fife was a turd and we didn't like him anymore?
  16. I'm always amazed at how red my bracket looks this time of the tourney.
  17. My last Elite 8 was Kansas State vs. Loyola Chicago. It was an awesome atmosphere and the Loyola fans around us were fantastic from before tip to post game celebrations. I was really appreciative of how their fans treated and included the family in rooting/celebrating.
  18. Had to be Crean's fault right? In today's college basketball you have to get your players and win. There really isn't a reason you can't make it happen.
  19. We're discussing punching people based on how they look. That checks out. Best of luck to Duncomb at his next stop.
  20. It's not the size of the dawg in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dawg. Heck of a game and finish. Heck of an Elite 8 run by the first year head coach Tang too.
  21. How are they tracking it? If it's by email you can use multiple emails? If by cookies can you use a privacy mode as a workaround?
  22. This. There are levels even amongst dawgs. You're not just a dawg in the pack but you have a rank. I highly doubt XJ would be THE dawg on most of the teams I listed. The more glaring issue, as you pointed out, where were the other dawgs on this team.
  23. Delivering, heck of a performance by North Texas
  24. We definitely have the potential to land some players but we'll actually need to do it then have them come together as a team. It's fun to be able to vastly improve every offseason.
  25. I was worried about Bates going into last offseason because life changes. Imagine being 19/20 and having to worry about a child and SO, now toss in playing big time college basketball. Doing all that without a really strong culture is absolutely tough. I thought he would struggle a bit this season because of those factors. Has he matured enough this season along with culture improvements that he could make a sophomore to junior leap? It's possible but I wouldn't be counting on it.
