100% agree with str8.  

JG gets absolutely lost too many times defending on the perimeter.  I said as much earlier in the season on here when he wasn’t playing much and got roasted for it and pretty much called a JG hater.  Their was a reason he wasn’t playing much.  

Kopp is by far a better team defender.  He gets a lot of deflections and knows where he is supposed to be and if you have been to a game he is always talking. He will get beat some by superior athletes but I can live with that.  We were a very good defensive team last year with Kopp playing a lot of minutes.  JG has the potential to lock his man up one on one but off the ball he struggles.
I don’t want to see JG at the 3.  Offensively he doesn’t have the handle and on the defensive end is where the problem really is especially off ball and as a help defender.  He needs to stay at the 4 where he is better suited.  I loved how he played at the end of the season but he is not a starter on this team.
For me it’s pretty clear cut and really no question.

Indiana was a better basketball team with JG on the floor last year.  Call him whatever you want but he needs to be on the floor more next year.

I'd forgotten how hoosierfan31 always used to complain about how the coaching staff was driving off players. 

I want IU to shoot better than it has since the Miller era started just like everyone. But one reason I’m less concerned about personnel is I have some confidence shooting can be developed

One thing about Galloway IMO is he finds a way to get himself on the court.  19.6 minutes as a freshman, 20.8 minutes as a sophomore....all without being able to shoot.

I believe the scouting report caught up with him towards the end of the season. The driving lanes weren't as wide, which caused his increase in turnovers.

Agree with all of that. That's something I'm very excited about for next season...multiple guys on the court that can handle and create offense. 
There are reasons IU played best last season when Galloway and in particular both Galloway and Phinisee were available. 
Not having them was the primary reason for the difficulties in February and getting them back was a big reason for the postseason success.

It means not only is his 3 ball improving but when the defense closes out hard, he has the ability to step in and confidently hit the mid range shot. That’s a 3

He already showed an outside shot, the point made is that he has both, not one or the other, and Smith had neither. They aren't remotely the same player.

Don't know much about this guy, but the guys/girls on BR, seem to think he's "in the know" lol
