  1. And Devonte was caught smoking these:
  2. Nothing inherently wrong with that as they're both 21. But, doesn't necessarily bode well for DeRon's prospects if he's hanging out with the player who is the deepest in the doghouse.
  3. Lunardi's updated bracketology came out this morning. IUBB currently projected as a 9 seed; not listed as one of the last eight in (last four in + four play-in round teams). So, let's start winning some games again; that will quickly make this discussion a non-issue.
  4. The sadness is absolute evidence that they are so very missed, and that they had lives well-lived. So sorry for your losses.
  5. There is a whole lotta middle ground between "all is well" and "all is broken."
  6. To use a 50 cent word - that is incredibly myopic. I hope you're not implying that superior talent should always win. Superior talent, excellent coaching, team chemistry, roster composition, experience, team health, and numerous other factors collectively increase winning; even all of those factors don't guarantee it on any given night. Last year we were sorely lacking in talent - especially at the 3-5 spots, experience, team health, and effective roster composition. With those deficiencies we lost 15 games, including some true stink bombs, but we also won 9 B1G games. Sounds like reality to me.
  7. ^^Whaaa...?? ^^ That IU team that started Freddie McSwain at center, walk-on Zach at SF, and Devonte at PG last year and went 9-9 in the B1G had "superior talent?" Those teams he put into the tourney year after year at Dayton (and went as far as the elite 8) without ever having a top 100 recruit had some "superior talent?"
  8. Nah... Fitzner was good against NW last time. Would expect him to get a little run tonight.
  9. All; I just split the D Green discussion into a new thread so that this one can still be used as the game thread. Carry on!
  10. That's not the Packline Defense, and would require Archie and the team to re-configure the entire defensive philosophy.
  11. Devonte is even a 21 year old: could have partied at any bar legally. Moreover, for there to be a suspension there have been multiple violations. Can't fix stupid.
  12. Next man up for the right to be kicked around by message board posters? lol
  13. DGreen is not a leader; the problem is when he is not even an appropriate follower. I was just expressing this thought away from the public board with someone, and I will share it here; Keep an eye out for the players that Archie pro-actively complements and says things like "they're a big part of what we're doing going forward." Guys like Phin, Al, Romeo, Juwan, McRoberts. The ones I just listed are not the exclusive group, but they are unquestionably the core players you can expect to be featured.
  14. Point well made mdn; especially the part about "as long as it doesn't interfere with their purpose at that given point in life." I don't care if they pre-notified the team that eating mustard instead of mayo was a suspension violation; if you're forewarned and do it multiple times anyway, you jus' stoooopid. And I don't want stoooopid players on IUBB. And neither do teammates who are not so stoooopid.
  15. Arrgghh...10% of the season suspension?!? That's the dreaded second violation for: If so, coupled with all the times he's frustrated the bejeezus out of Archie, I find it hard to believe DGreen will be back next year.
  16. If he's at Montverde I suspect he'll be fine. Montverde has an impressive list of bball player grads, but is also a "real school" with very high academic standards.
  17. If you're talking about IU; we don't really have football rivals. I guess you could say Purdoo, but in football? Jes' barely.
  18. Is it possible that Bruiser was also/instead watching Precious Achiuwa? 6'9" 5 star who hasn't taken any official visits yet and also plays for Montverde. Good grades, great player - thought to be an east coast college player but lots of programs are still sniffing around, and Bruiser is our guy with east coast connections. We've had interest in the past, and Bruiser is pretty tight with HC Kevin Boyle and Rae Miller from the Montverde staff.
  19. Not gonna take it anymore IU 77 NU 67
  20. Agreed, and many have had their say. What I hope we can avoid is posters who respond to my polite request with “you must be talking to me-style” point counterpoints. (Btw; that’s not you Sadaseci). That will not be a tolerated. Now let’s move on.
  21. If you read this thread up to the point where I weighed in, I’m pretty sure it is clear that the mods have let negativity reign supreme; (and in my opinion the negative thoughts about the team’s play have been well-founded). We try to keep this board as a sane place for people to express their thoughts, negative or positive, but at a certain point one-note conclusory gloom and doom posts start to wear down the peoples! No posts were hidden; no warning points have been issued; no hard feelings have been created. Just trying to keep the board on track.
