As if we needed proof that Bryce Drew is really really bad at coaching basketball: Tonight in Nashville at the half: Kentucky 45 Vandrrbilt 15 Vandy with 14 turnovers and 2 assists. Yes; you read that right. At halftime Vandy has one more point than turnover.

For me? I think we should get bigger and longer. That would mean Smith at the 3 instead of the 4 for real stretches of time and, Rob, Romeo and Al at the 1 and 2, but not the 3. Or, Juwan at the four and Moore at the five, with Smith as the backup at the three and four. Won't help our outside shooting any if we do this though.

Or...we could give 20 minutes a game to Vijay! One of those oughta do it.

Then we're S.O.L.

That's an easy one: IU's best players, the ones that have proven themselves in the eyes of the coaching staff, need to work really hard so that their confidence is based on repetitive success during practice, and with individual and film work. In doing so, they can re-establish themselves as the team that was 12-2 and had multiple wins over top 25 teams. Nothing tricky, nothing that requires "out-thinking the room." Just hard work and results. Now compare that with some of the suggestions over the past few page threads: Play a walk-on who was not especially successful as an NAIA player. Lots more time to untested freshmen. Revamp the team's defensive scheme 2/3 of the way through the season. "Do something. Anything."

My 12 year old hit two out of three 3s in his last rec league game. Maybe we should give him a look because some are "open to try anything" regardless of what the coaches see on an extremely regular basis? Archie Miller is not infallible, but he knows WAY more about how to adjust this team than any of us. His formula for breaking out of the funk? Hard work at grinding through until confidence returns by his best players. That makes a lot of sense to me.

Nah; our shooting sux, but it ain’t Cliff Marshall’s fault.

Okay. So stop typing arrogant nonsense posts in response to a mod. Didn't your mama and papa teach you how to speak kindly?
-
Afraid not. Mackey is gonna be nuts today.

Experience and length are crucial. We do not currently have a single player that has both.
-
Every other school that hasn’t been past the Sweet Sixteen in sixteen years would LOVE to have the media attention given to IU.

Lol. Wait... you’re kidding, right?!?

Well Max MontanaHoetzel is also almost 25. Maybe they were once conjoined twins.

Last week’s fringe is tonight’s center mass! :)

Named after Max MontanaHoetzel no doubt.

My dogs still love me. I gots my emotional support animals to get me through! All kidding aside, there are a whole lot of smart, reasonable posters on this board. We all want the Hoosiers to get to the promised land, and most are rational even when they are disappointed and more than a little pissed off.

This game will do NOTHING to heal Barrell Rick’s fiery bowels. Sadness.

Nothing inherently wrong with that as they're both 21. But, doesn't necessarily bode well for DeRon's prospects if he's hanging out with the player who is the deepest in the doghouse.
