The maturity, skill, and basketball IQ of JB2 is wonderful. I very, very much hope that Vijay is a high-major prospect, and that some combination of him, Eron Gordon, and Rawle Alkins constitute our 2016 guard class. Add one or two of those three to a junior pg ROJO, and happy, happy times are ahead.

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets

Russell has a lot to learn on the defensive end, and with sharing the ball effectively. -

What rating did you give Middle School Bob, or does the scale only go to 100? -

IMO, DSR as a junior is WAAAAAAY better than DeAngelo Russell as a freshman. -
IU socks for me. IU beanbag and pennant for the eight year old. A win over Gtown and at least 10 B1G wins would make a lovely gift too!

Two IU players, Stan Robinson and Emmitt Holt, had Christmas at the Crean home. An excellent idea for two players who have very much needed the support of their coach. Hopefully on their way to becoming IU graduates and four year players that Hoosier Nation can be proud of: http://instagram.com/p/xCuyrZvMGX/

I would hope that we are, at the very least... ... ... Wait for it... ... ... ... ... ... ... Semi-interested. -
Not only does Purdue University suck, ...so does their basketball team. The transitive property does NOT apply, but in this case it's fun!! St Peters beats Rutgers who beats Vandy who blows out Purdue. So there.

Geez Nips, he's only about 75 miles away from your house. Invite him over!
-
Spot on, nips. And you know how I feel about the odds of Yogi leaving.
-
Yogi Ferrell is playing at a level right now that is not getting enough recognition. Our team is not great, but I'm waiting and waiting to see a better point guard than ours in ALL of college basketball. I haven't seen one yet so far this year.
-
I'm not so sure we won't need another guard someday soon. We are losing at least two players for next year to make room for two 6'7"+ recruits. If Stan was one of the current players who freed up a spot and Yogi graduated, that would make us extremely low on guards.

That's just silly talk.

+1....and off the court THEY ARE COMPLETELY, 180 DEGREES DIFFERENT! -
If college basketball programs were countries
Stuhoo replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If college basketball programs were countries, there is no doubt in my mind that Kentucky would be... Kazakhstan. NEED PROOF? I have uncovered secret mating and training video footage during which it is IMPOSSIBLE to discern whether the participants are in Kazakhstan or Kentucky. SEE FOR YOURSELF!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wHYHMpHmSg -
Limited minutes? Heck, Trey Lyles got 13 full minutes tonight!Top ten hs players need playing time, and Trey got his 780 seconds of it!

Welcome aboard to an outstanding student athlete and a fantastic basketball prospect, Juwan Morgan. A proud new Hoosier has officially signed!!

Dang. For Kensucky to lose this year, they have to run into a team that spreads the court and has at least five or six guys that can stroke the three ball. Wonder if there's a team like that out there? ;)

1) I think that each and every one of the players you named are true Hoosiers, and are loyal, above all, to Indiana University. 2) I think that they all think that CTC is a good man who did the best he could. 3) I think that every one from that list would recommend IU to their best friend, sibling, etc. AND... I think that only one from that list (VO) would recommend CTC as a coach if/when CTC is not at IU.
-
If you want to know how the graduated players felt about CTC, I take HUGE stock in their senior night speeches. For me, it was incredibly striking when they happened. Will Sheehey (to paraphrase) stated plainly that he had the BEST FAMILY, played for the best FANS, TEAMMATES, and FOR THE BEST COACH. Jordy Hulls Matt Roth Jeff Howard Verdell Jones Derek Elston CWat Danny Moore and others Specifically thanked: THE BEST FAMILIES, THE BEST FANS, AND THE BEST TEAMMATES.

Well said, but I disagree...to a point. I believe that last years' chemistry problems were real, but that they were mainly due to personalities clashing, and to a slightly lesser extent maturity that was much needed by Yogi, Stan, and Hanner. Not as much due to the arrests and too much partying. In fact, if Hanner Perea turns into an excellent player and a proud Hoosier alum, that DWI arrest could be the single most positive turning point moment of his life.
