^^This^^ The team has enough to win at least four or five more games, including a couple on the road. If we continue on the path we're on; signs of life followed by regular disappointment, that will more than suffice.

Film Study - IUBB Defensive Instructional Video
Stuhoo replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This is the "bad on-ball angles lead to open three-ball" session. -
All; Though I have never claimed to be an IUBB insider, after last night's abomination I tweetered JanitorInTheGym, who forwarded a Facegram to Martha The Mop Lady, who Instasnapped me a choice piece of inside knowledge. Ya see, Martha cleans up in the IUBB film study room, and she snuck a USB cord into a mop bucket so that she could download the defensive instructional video that Coach Crean and the IUBB staff have been highlighting for our players in our game preparations. Apparently, along the lines of the stellar, take-no-prisoners attitude of famous sports franchises like the Oakland Raiders, the New York Yankees, the Butler Bulldogs, and innumerable successful professional wrestlers, we have been taking our defensive cues from a team in black jerseys. That is what I am about to share with you. You guys may criticize, but when you see this secret, smuggled video, I think you will all agree we've learned our lessons well:

This is the first year of Hamilton's long coaching career where his team's on-court play has met expectations.

Leonard Hamilton. Crean is WAY better than him.

Jordan Hulls - IUBB Recruiting Coordinator
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
Geez Jordy - great Hoosier and a great role model, but not even one beer the night of the Watshot?!? I'm thinking we need to set Jordy up for a night of "Sips with Nips" if he ever gets to the west coast of Florida. -
No bueno.

A theatrical interpretation of Gracie-boo Allen and Isaiah Briscoe having dinner together:
-
I am thinking that if we want to wander into the Coach K gene pool, Jeff Capel should be our first choice. He could bring along disGrace-on Allen as team trip coordinator. ;)

Booo. Wojo as IU coach would not be funny!

Indiana University Summer Orientation Curriculum - IUBB 101: Turnover Maximization Introduction to the turnover; evolution from the low-volume Knight era, expansion during the Davis years, full realization during Crean Types of turnovers: Errant pass, foot shuffling, apple, cherry, perimeter dribbling and the art of the shot clock violation The perfection of the baseline drive - using the baseline as an extra defender and impediment Leaving your feet: Why have your feet when you have the ball, when you can leave your feet without a purpose? Passing up shots Playing fast. Really fast. Really, really fast! (too fast) This course will be instructed by tenured, seasoned Division 1 Head coaches...lots of 'em. The head instructor is extraordinarily well compensated, and has a proven track record of maximizing turnover potential. Students will be indoctrinated into a turnover-friendly system, and success within this course will result in sustained playing time. MANDATORY for IUBB enrollees.

Dennis Smith Jr looks like the #1 pick in the next NBA draft to me.
-
True that...and even closer to where Barrett is from.
-
Main themes from a Univ of Tennessee post-visit Scout article just published: Will be hard to flip Barrett from Auburn Really impressed with UT's offense (nice for us since it's now OUR offense) The obligatory 'Looking for family atmosphere' The obligatory 'Looking for immediate playing time' In summary...no major, supreme gushing about the UT visit.

(2017) RB Craig Nelson to IU
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
No way to know whether IUFB projects Nelson as a RB, or for a different position. -
#165 player nationally. That's big time. You guys starting to get the impression that, by far, our most valuable recruit is a 2 star linebacker from Plant City, Florida named Thomas Allen?

Yogi Ferrell - Buducnost VOLI Podgorica (Montonegro)
Stuhoo replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
Yogi Ferrell stars in Long Island loss at D-League Showcase http://www.netsdaily.com/2017/1/22/14350162/yogi-ferrell-stars-in-long-island-loss-at-d-league-showcase With the D-League Showcase in suburban Toronto over, expect NBA teams to start offering 10-day deals to the best performers over the four-day, league-wide event. Yogi Ferrell, who became a free agent when the Nets waived him in favor of Spencer Dinwiddie, made his case for a call-up Saturday when he scored 27 points and handed out nine assists in Long Island’s 122-117 loss to Grand Rapids. It was a back-and-forth game with the Drive having the upper hand most of the way. Ferrell finished with a 7-of-14 performance, including a stellar 6-of-10 from deep and a perfect night at the foul line. Ferrell was one of three players with NBA experience who scored more than 20 for the young Nets. Carrick Felix, the 6’6” small forward finished with 21 (7-of-15, 4-of-8). Lazar Hayward, another 6’6” swing man, also had 21 (9-of-15, 0-of-3) and grabbed eight boards.
