OR...it's a friggin drug/alcohol suspension and they aren't obligated to tell us anything about it. Jeesh. **** Honestly I don't know anything about what it is and it very well may be a knee injury but what does everybody (not really aiming this at you HOVA) get worked up if somebody else speculates or throws out a different idea? That's part of what this board is for, he wasn't claiming anything negative, wasn't trolling, just speculating possible thoughts on the subject.

Good lord I knew Alaska was far away, but it is just now New Year there?????? :cheese:

Ahh yes... thanks for correcting my error. Prolly blocked it out since it will ALWAYS be "Assembly Hall".... I love Bobby but wouldn't think of it as RMK's Assemby Hall either so...
-
Cindy Simon just has the Entrance right? So she can have the entrance named after her into RMK's Assembly Hall.... No problems! Wonder if she was a fan?

Who is doing this evaluating? Team Doctors? How long does the evaluation process usually take? This sounds as if it is something he is trying to play through some pain and no worries about making it worse? Maybe waiting to see how the knee feels after a practice or some activity? Seems to me if surgery was needed he would do it ASAP and begin the recovery....

So if he were to miss the rest of the season that pretty much eliminates any possibility of him jumping to the NBA after this year (I don't think he is nearly ready but for a hopeful 1 and done to stay 3 years would be tough)..... To transfer and then sit out another year seems completely out of the question. SO he heals and comes back the next year, would be interested to see how that would play out with a new coach. Prayers that he recovers well, whenever that may be.

Analysis: IU-Rutgers ... Well, that was interesting
Str8Hoosiers replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Hey Goundhog Day is my favorite day of the year (My Birthday).... I am glad there is a whole post about it!!!! Lots of great analysis in this thread, both on the game in question and on the general behavior of our team, coach, etc. -
What about covering up an internal issue... not an off court issue? Crean recently preached about toughness etc, I know it is not his style to bench a player for lack of effort or anything like that but could something else (besides injury) have happened at practice? And I really don't think Crean is dumb, but I definitely wouldn't say he is above trying to cover up any issues!!!!!! Especially knowing his job may potentially be on the line. I think he is smart enough to do anything he can to try to keep the prestigious position he has. **** I am not saying any of this is a fact, it is purely my speculation... It was what I thought of when I heard JBJ wasn't playing, and by watching his demeanor on the bench.

Any chance their is NO knee injury? My first thought was a cover up? Did he do something over the break that warrants a 1 or 2 game suspension but that kind of bad press right now absolutely couldn't come out? Or Crean mentioned recently that toughness was going to be a factor in playing time in Big Play... Sending a message? Just a thought...

Watched late after work... What a horrible game... For a win it was very hard to watch AGAIN.... Was so happy and excited to watch a game without JBJ... Unfortunately Yogi did his best impersonation today... He was all about Yogi over the team and looked lost on defense half the time (which admittedly is only half as often as JBJ). Collin players a great game today, hitting the early 3s was huge, he is the only guy that passes the ball into the post on a consistent basis. He looks for post feeds like others look for 3s. Max played a great all around game today as well. NZ3 wasn't hitting but played with heart, OG, Juwan, Burton all played well in limited minutes.

(2016) SG Grant Gelon commits to IU
Str8Hoosiers replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Makes sense, I don't watch a lot of high school ball and when I've seen Romeo (new Albany) play he wasn't doubled at all so I wasn't sure how much that happened but thought I read the GG was ball denied in a gamelan by multiple defenders... On the other hand if you have a good second option why force it... Smart team ball to not force -

I remember this kid named Jeff Hedges that was held to 4 points in a game his senior year. Never heard of him right? That's because he wasn't D1 nor NBA caliber.. -

How much has to do with teams doubling Gelon? Denying him the ball at all costs? Subsequently giving Sasha easy opportunities? -
Why do we play at 1:00?

What tickets?
