We are all shocked because my dog should be able to out coach penn state at home. Yes maybe on the road but you don't lose to penn state at assembly hall.

This is the point guys, we like him, he's a nice guy, the kids like him, but he can't coach during a game. We lost tonight, at Nebraska, Illinois, NW, because of Tom Cream, not our players.   He subs 2nd and 3rd string players into Big Ten games for no reason. In addition, he continually messes up the flow of the game by subbing non-stop. Most coaches sub because they are resting, punishing, matching up or saving players. In addition, a coach might sub because we are way ahead or behind. However, Tom Cream subs as soon as we start to do good. The Big Ten is not a pay for play league or elementary school not everyone should get playing time. If you're good enough to start you should start and play 90% of the game. This is what everyone is talking about! It's the coach and it's never gonna change he has been do this for years but we didn't notice because we were either losing big or winning big. Now that it's close we lose!

The thing is, besides turnovers, we performed relatively well. For 37 minutes. Had them down by 11 at the 3:19 mark, I think. It's the breakdown in those last 3 minutes. This is the fact that really kills me though: DJ Newbill and Tim Frazier went a combined 6-22. Penn State loses by 30 when that happens. Just not at Assembly Hall this season I guess.

I still would wait until after next year to evaluate whether or not a change needs to be made.  We have a pretty solid recruiting class coming in led by James Blackmon and guys like Troy Williams and Stanford Robinson have shown signs of brilliance and should be even better next year.  The challenge for Crean will be to replace Vonleh if he goes pro, which seems almost a certainty since most mock drafts have him as a Top 10 pick.  What's so gut wrenching about this season is without the excessive turnovers and the scoring droughts we're most likely a Top 25 team.

I think Coach has got to do to himself what he does with his players and look at his performance.  Granted he doesnt play on the floor, but those backcourt violations and failure to get a ball inbounds with 12 seconds left, timeout in hand and a one point lead, that is coaching to not have practiced it and to not have told them....cant get it in call a timeout, jeez to loft it up like that was just stupid....and that from a projected lottery pick?  Vonleh in no way is ready for the NBA, sorry, neither was Zeller, but money is money.  If this tractory continues into next year it is going to be very hard to stop the train from leaving the station
