A recap from 3SSB after its first 2 sessions:  Caughman continues to separate himself as one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in the 2028 class. The physically impressive guard opened eyes with his blend of strength, length, and athleticism—bringing real versatility on both ends of the floor. He averaged 15.8 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 1.5 APG, and 1.0 BPG in Council Bluffs, while shooting an efficient 56.8% (44 attempts) from the field and 50.0% from 3 (20 attempts), showing flashes of shot-making, floor spacing, and finishing around the rim. Defensively, he was active and switchable, using his size to contest shots and guard multiple positions. With his production, tools, and upward trajectory, Caughman looks like a name to know nationally, moving forward.

Chase Johnson national scout for Made Hoops -

Antoine Caughman Jr - 6'4 Guard - 2028

Really impressed with the growth Caughman Jr has shown as an on-ball creator over the past year. He’s starting to consistently blend his size and athletic ability with perimeter shooting, shooting 38% from three on 9.4 attempts per game while still playing with an aggressive downhill mindset. 3SSB Stats from sessions 1 & 2: 22.3 PPG | 6.3 RPG | 1.7 APG | 2.4 SPG | 53.2 TS% His ability to convert contested shots has really started to raise his offensive ceiling. Defenses are now forced to close out harder, which has opened up more driving lanes for him to attack gaps, finish through contact, or find teammates. Antoine should be firmly in the mix for top 10 in the '28 class after this summer.

Jamie Shaw following a South Carolina Team Camp Day -

Antoine Caughman looks the part. You see the 6-foot-5 wing walk on the court with excellent length and a projectable frame; he has a high major frame. What really pops with Caughman’s game is his scoring ability. He has a smooth jump shot and wants the ball in his hands. With multiple plays, he scored the ball off movement or the catch. He got to his mid range pull up and he finished at the basket. He will need to continue working through his balance points and footwork, stream-lining his process getting to his spots. However, the ceiling is high for the scoring guard.  Caughman is currently ranked No. 21 on Rivals. The Keenan (SC) High School wing recently added offers from UCLA, Cal, and Indiana.
